It is near the computer which is located above the drivers rear tire. Access it through the panel in the back where the jack is stored.

Doors unlock lock doesnt open door.


I had same issue, the door solinoid or some call it actuator was bad,went to a junk yard too one of a used exployer and solved the problem

I HAVE A 2005 FORD EDDIE BAUER EXPLOYER WHEN I LOCK IT UP WITH MY PORTABLE CLICKER, THE HORN SOUNDS ONCE WHEN LOCKED CORRECTLY, WHY WHEN I HAVE ALARM ON, AND UNLOCK, THE DRIVER DOOR WITH A KEY, NO HOR


I asked a frend about your problem and he said there isnt one, he said when you use the clicker, your moveing away from the car, so you get an audable sound to let you now it's working, when you use the key your at the car and you now whats happening.

2003 ford exployer int lights and door ajar lights wont go out


This sounds like the switch at one of the doors that is bad. When you close the door the switch is supposed to close but one of yours is not. I would open one door at a time and try to depress the switch inside each door firmly and see if you can identify which one it is. If that does not work you will have to remove each switch one at a time to find the faulty one.

did you check the child safety switches on both doors open doors and you will see the location on the sides of the doors

Door ajar lights will not go off. all of the doors are closed and the doom inside light will not go off. i have a ford exployer 2003


you will need to locate the switch as it is either stuck out or broken, it is on the inside of the door frame

The door locks run off a relay powered by a circuit breaker located in or near the fuse block. It also runs current to the power windows too. If the windows work the breaker is good

Check fuses, bulb, also there may be a switch to turn off the dome light when the door opens.

first of all is the key chipped.if so there is a small round coil around the ignition which reads the code off the chip in the key.replace this reader coil and see will it start.the alarm if u open the bonnet will the alarm stop buzzing if it does dissconnect the bonnet switch on the slam panel above one of the headlights.
