Question about 1999 Chevrolet Blazer

1997 Chev Blazer, turn signals and brake light won't operate. We have check the fuses and they're fine. What's next??

The directional switch could be faulty,,as it controls brake light function also...jently lift up on it and use it ,,also use brake ,,and have some one ckeck the rear,,the switch wares inside itself..

Brake lights won't work.... replaced fuse it's fine, top light on hatch works, but right and left don't


need to check the multi-function switch. the brake light signal goes through the turn signal switch on the steering column. the brake lights come on if the turn signal is not being operated. the circuit for the brake light can loose contact in the switch.

97 blazer all three brake lights dont work and also the hazard,but the parking lights and turn signals work fine.when you push the pedal you hear a noise down there


Hi, Sounds like you have a short in wiring, also check the brake fuses. Have it checked out by a (qualified mechanic).

I have a '97 Blazer, the turn signals will not operate, fuse looks good, signal lights don't come. 4 ways work fine, assuming bulbs are ok. Is there another fuse somewhere to check????


you have a bad multi functional switch on the column. i have a 97 jimmy that did the samething. i had to replace the whole switch.

Left turn signal doesnt work and my brakelights


  1. Check the fuse make sure it is not busted and also use a designated amp only.
  2. Check the bulb and the wires also.

No turn signals brake lights or hazard on 97 Blazer


did you check the bulbs and the fuses with a test light? If they are ok,try pressing the brake pedal, and wiggeling the 4-way flasher button at the same time....if the brake lights come on, it's in the 4-way flasher switch.
