If it is a 4.2 jack the truck up remove the driver side wheel along wiht the iner mud sheild. reach in and unbolt you will be removing the starter though the same hole you are reaching though. Ps do not forget to disconect battery.
make sure the bendex is in the correct position before you install or the wires will be a pain to reinstall. I had to do mine today took about 1.5 hours.

Check the starter, check the cable that goes from the battery to the starter. make sure its tight and not loose. take a hammer and tap on the starter. If the vehicle still doesn't start. Change the starter.

My 2003 chevrolet Trailblazer will not start.

What we need to know is if you can here the starter cranking the engine over? If the answer is no than check for power on the smaller wire at the starter. There should be power anytime the key is in the crank position. If there is power replace the starter. If the answer is yes than you will need to check for fuel pressure and spark to determine which is not letting the engine start. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using!

My 2003 trailblazer wont start at all.. checked battery and starter

GM vehicles are notorious for failing anti theft systems. When these fail, they can immobilize the starter leaving you stranded. If you see a light on the dash that says "security" then this is your problem. Check out this link for info and options.

Commando remote car starter

I would start with the bypass and work your way through the starter. Start by undoing all your trim panels around your steering column and dash bezels and drivers side kick panel. Then go from there. hope this gives you some direction.
