2004 lexus sc430 battery dischrged while on vacation. when I hooked up the battery charger, the horn beeps on and off. how do i disable the horn while charging?

During long vacations, it is prefered to disconnect the battery ,to keep the charge ,just disconnect terminals starting by (-)ve ,this advice from batteries manufacturers.

What would cause the horn on a 2005 lexus SC430 to stop working & is it easy to fix yourself or would it be cover under warranty?

If you have a warranty that covers electrical problems of course it is covered. The horn is hard to reach and requires the car be raised off the ground.

Sounds like you need to reset your alarm kill switch, which should be located near the driverside kick panels. GL.

My car has been sitting for a long time so I put the battery on a charger, then the horn starting beeping...I put the key in the ignition, the beeping even with the charger on...

could be a bit of both ,security immobilisor can be damaged with brown out when the batteries dies so replace battery with a new one and if it still will not start then call tow truck and have it taken to dealer fro re-programming

You take another vehicle and hook their battery and your battery together with jumper cables. Hot side is red and ground side is black. Make sure you do not mix them up.

I have a 2004 Lexus SC430 that has buttons to

move the drivers seat to the extreme of each position, then reset the memory. you should hear a beep when the memory resets. also make sure the headrest is all the way down.

its very possable the ecu is damaged, but you will need to check all the fuses and or fuseable links

there is a reset button for the tpms either just above the accerlator or to the right of the glove box. press it and tah should be good to go.
