Check your door lock relay. It is usually under the dash and next to steering column. the relay could be making poor contact, or just need to be replaced.

95 chrysler new yorker, car starts for 2 to 3 seconds and stalls, headlights flash off and on and turning signals flash, how do i fix it?

I owned a LHS and 94 New yorker both cars did this, have the door locks checked for a loose wire for the alarm system, something is telling the security system there is a breach, you must lock the doors, shut the door and then open the car door by unlocking it with the key or it will continue to do this. Mine had loose wires and the door lock would not sense the key so I used the passenger door in the same way I described above. IT will NOT Start and run if this is an issue until the alarm is reset by doing as I described. Good luck BTW both cars suffered from failing transmissions, very weak trans in these cars.

This is a 2008 Sante fe Limited FWD vehicle. When I use the key fob to unlock the vehicle, in about 30 seconds it locks itself. It has not done that in the past. Is there some setting I have inadvertently...

I solved my own problem. It seems the same rule applies, "when all else fails, follow directions." I found, in the operators manual, that when you use the key fob to unlock the door and hatch and DO NOT open any of those doors for approximately 30 seconds the system is designed to automatically lock the doors. The turn signal lights blink once and the security system comes on and the door are locked. So, for all of us who think reading the operators manual is a sign of weakness, think again. :)

Alarm sounds upon opening driver's door... fuel cycle runs... the need gas light is on and I am trying to put fuel in my car and the alarm sounds every time I open the driver's door.

Insert the key into the drivers door lock and lock then unlock the car ,this seem to occur when you battery is down some or your alternator is weak.

Remote controls for factory alarm system are not working.

Resynchronization may be necessary due to the security method used by the remote keyless entry system. The transmitter does not send the same signal twice to the passenger door module (PDM). • The PDM will not respond to a signal that has been sent previously. This prevents anyone from recording and playing back the signal from the transmitter. • The panic button should still operate normally when the system is out of synchronization. • Resynchronization may be necessary under the following conditions: - The battery in the transmitter is very weak. - The battery in the transmitter was replaced. - The battery in the vehicle has been in a low or no charge condition for an extended period of time. • In order to resynchronize the transmitter with the PDM, perform the following steps: 1. Stand within 1.5 meters (5 ft) from the vehicle. 2. Simultaneously press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter for 7 seconds. The door locks should cycle in order to confirm resynchronization.

Remote start and door locks will only work from 10 feet or less

i had the same problem... go through the menu until you see reprogram remote. hit the check mark button and hold the lock and unlock button until the horn honks. key has to be on car not running though. You will eventually have to do it again but for some reason it will work for a while.

2002 door locks failed ford escape

Using a multimeter, check for voltage at the lock/unlock solenoid. Disconnect the connector and probe the unlock side with the other lead on a good ground. Hit the unlock twice and see if you get voltage. If yes, the solenoid may be defective or if not, you could possibly have a bad relay. Even though you can hear the relay, that doesn't necessarily mean it's completing the circuit. My car did the same thing and I ended up replacing the relay.
The lock side check would be the same.

Hope this helps!
