Question about 2000 Volvo V40
II have a 1999 volvo v40 wiyh the 1.8 litre mitsubishi g.d.i engine, when the engine is first started it will idle steady at 1000 rpm but when it gets warm it will not idle, the revs go up and down and engine stalls.
at speeds of 65 to 70 mph it misses a beat now and again.i have already changed the engine temp sensor that provides the e.c.u with the constantly varying
Could have many causes, but a good start could be to have the
oxygen sensor voltage output checked.(In exhaust system)
This would explain why mixture/ variable idle speed occurs.
