SOURCE: I need to find out where the shift solenoid is located on the tra

I've been having this problem with this car for a while. This is the third time which I needed to change the damn solenoid in 3 years. You need to take the whole air filter off,you have in the front two screws, and two more just to loose the clamps. You need to pull the whole thing out, once you take it out,you should be able to see it under two black hoses,it has 3 screws into it,it's very easy to take off and replace, about 2 hours total. No more domestic cars for me for as long as I live!Good luck!

SOURCE: starter for dodge caravan 2000

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, JACK UP AND SUPPORT YOUR CARAVAN. LYING ON YOUR BACK LOCATE THE STARTER WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE ENGINE THROUGH THE BELL HOUSING .THERE ARE TWO 15 MILIMETER BOLTS THAT HOLDS THE STARTER ON . AFTER BREAKING THE BOLTS A 15MM WRENCH WOULD BE USEFUL.

Transmission fuild in radator

Replace the radiator as the oil cooler in the radiator is split allowing transmission oil to get into the radiator. Best option is to use an air cooled transmission cooler mounted before the radiator. Cools the transmission to below ambient temperature ( not engine temperature) , helps the engine to run cooler ( no heat from the transmission) and no risk of oil in the coolant system. The cost of the system will be close to the price of a new radiator

The 2000 dodge grand caravan has two lines running from a cylinder just to the right and bottom of the radiator. it looks like power steering fuel runs through

if their metal, the could be coming from transmission fluid lines, are they going into radiator ? one @ top & one @ bottom of rad . their cooling lines from trans, supply / return . if rubber lines, they go to a transmission cooler , looks like a small radiator, rectangular , supply / return. power steering has no cooling . these lines don't come from engine, power steering has power steering fluid NOT TO BE MISTAKEN FOR TRANSMISSION FLUID, TOTALLY DIFFERANT !!!!!!

I hit a deer and now oil is leaking out of the front of the radeator what could it be

Are you sure it's oil because your transmission cooler lines connect to the radiator so it may be transmission fluid that's leaking. I really can't see any place that oil would be in that area. good luck and I hope the deer tasted good after you cooked him.

I have a 2005 dodge caravan with a 3.3 engine i have filled the radiator full let vehicle idle for 1 hour checked rad level and it has dropped.no leaks nor over heating problems where is the anti freeze...

the problem that I came across with dodge caravan is that the transmission cooler is inside the radiator and it deteriorates to the point that the antifrise enters in the transmission. If the oil is the coller of strawberry ice cream.dont look any ferther. The trans will not last to long, the antifreeze deteriorates the clutches.the trans will probably have to be rebuilt. Solution:get an external trans filter then plug the cooling lines at the rad.

I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8 L eng with an automatic transmission. I noticed that sometimes the transmission will disengage. I put it back in park then drive and it goes as normal. Today I found...

Most automatic transmissions will have a cooler that is in the radiator. Some will also have an external cooler (really common on vehicles with a towing package). It is really common for the cooler hoses to leak on the caravans. Make sure you are using ATF+4 for trans fluid. No other transmission fluid should be used in a chrysler!

Where is the output speed sensor at on a 2000 dodge caravan 3.3l

Look on the front of the trans, toward the left front wheel. It is black, has two wires going to it, and if you have found the right item, there will be another, in a horizontal line toward the engine, near the cooler lines.
