Hello jaws2614,

The timing marks align Like this:

First, rotata the crankshaft until the timing mark is at the 5 o'clock position.

Then the black link is placed over the diamond marked "INT"on the intake camshaft It should be at the 2 o'clock position.

Then working down to the crankshaft the gold link aligns with the crankshaft timing mark.

Then to the exhaust camshaft the other gold link aligns to the triangle marked "EXH" at the 10 o'clock position.

I've included some pictures below, Good luck.

Why wont the timing marks wont line up when u turn it 2 time like the video says

The timing will not be correct. If the crankshaft is rotated 2 times, the camshaft will rotate 1 time. If the marks will not line up, there will be a timing problem. Most likely the tensioner will not be adjusted properly causing the belt to jump

Timing chain

It appears that you got it right but to be sure the check is on the timing chain there are 3 black links If you have it right then the black links will line up with the marks. If not then re adjust the gear that is not correct.- ensure that you have the ignition timing right as you may be 180 degrees out

Timing chain marks needed for Audi A4 B9 1.8tfsi 2009 model. Engine was taken out and settings not marked. This is extremelyurgent. Please help

diagrams I have show a twin cam set up with 2 balancing shafts. The marks on the cam shaft point to (left cam shaft 11 oclock the mark on the right point to the 1 oclock position. The chain will have 3 black links-- the top black links will be at the timing marks on the shafts with the 3rd black link directly at 6 oclock facing a mark on the gear. The balancer marks both point to the 1 oclock position with black links on each and the 3rd black link will be facing a mark to the 7 oclock position on the crankahaft gear. Everything is done with the piston at TDC no 1 cylinder so get it there before you put the cam shafts in position or you will bend valves. Crank shaft gear is not keyed to the crank shaft. there are dots on the right hand balancer shaft gears and these dots will be as the 2 dots on adjacent teeth either side of a dot on the meshing gear. I suppose that is all as clear as mud but if you got this far then you will see the marks and marked links on the chains

I need to know the sincronization on a time chain for a nissan mazima 97, engine 3.0

The camshaft inner chains have gold links on them to line up with the mating marks on the camshaft inner sprockets.
The Main Drive Chain has two blue links that line up on the camshaft outer sprocket mating marks and a gold link that lines up with the mating mark on the crankshaft sprocket.

How do i set timing on 2000 dodge intrepid, i had to put water pump on now i need the timing set,

i number 1piston which is the front one on the passenger side has to be all the way up and then 60 degrees past that, there is a mark on the crank that matches up with an arrow on the oil pump housing, the driver side cam sprocket has an arrow on it, and the passenger side cam sprocket has a hole in it which is its timing mark, on the chain there are 4 gold link, a single gold link goes on the crank timing mark, a single gold link goes on the passenger cam sprocket timing mark, and the double gold links match up with the driver side cam sprocket timing mark

Timing chain setting

Your camshaft and your crankshaft have marks on them. Your timing chain also has marks on it. The timing marks MUST ALL line up at the same time before you move your internal parts. The easiest way to do this is to take out your spark plugs and after tou get the chain, chain tensioner and chain damper on, turn the engine with a wrench watch the marks. The number 1 cylinder should be at tdc.
