Not sure what gasket you're referring to but if it's leaking from oil filter I suspect the gasket from old oil filter is stuck under gasket of new oil filter. They stick sometimes.

If it is leaking at the oil filter the previous rubber gasket may have stuck to the block. When the new oil filter was installed then the gasket was doubled and will leak.

Oil empty after driving 1000 miles after oil change

If there was no problem with oil consumption before the service then the only items connected to the oil are the oil filter and the sump plug. Check around the oil filter for the leak. If the oil filter was removed leaving the filter gasket stuck to the block and a new filter fitted then the 2 gaskets will allow the oil to leak out. Check the tension of the oil filter and if it is extremely tight then the gasket may be leaking at the top of the can at the seam. conversely if the filter is not tight enough then the gasket will be leaking. Check the sump plug as there should be a copper washer under the plug but some mechanics use a fiber washer and this allows the plug to come loose and leak or worse to fall out completely.

Oil pump?

Your filter is leaking, check it out.

Can only be the adapter or the filter gasket

Oil leak from oil filter i thimk or its from very close to the filter

Your leak could be the result of a missing oil filter gasket or an improperly sealed oil filter gasket. Remove and inspect. either way, the fix should be easy.

The oil pressure sending unit screws into the engine block so you will need to look between the oil pan and the head.I suggest that you try tightening your oil filter first.

HAVE A OIL LEAK COMING FROM ABOVE THE OIL FILTER.

Has the oil filter just been replaced? Sometimes the old gasket sticks to the mounting area, causing leakage if the new filter is installed on top of it. It is also possible the gasket was for some reason missing on a new filter. Let me know if this is not the cause, I'll try to help further.

Oil leak

If it's leaking from the oil filter spacer.( the 2 inch metal ring that attaches to your block, and has two rubber hoses coming out of it, and your oil filter attaches to) There is an o-ring between the spacer and the block. Take off your oil filter, remove the oil filter stud with 1 3/16" socket( or metric equivalent) and the spacer will come off. I found all the auto parts stores around me said that the o-ring was a dealer item. I bought a FRAM PH3387A oil filter and removed the o-ring on that. It fit perfectly, snug down your oil filter stud to specs, then install your oil filter. Double check that the oil filter is not double gasketed, and your are fixed!
