I can sympathize with you here because I am goin through the same thing. I'm not sure how much help I will be but I can tell you some of the things I have tried. I have replaced 1 of 4 of my oxygen sensors, camshaft sensor, mass air flow sensor, plugs, wires, dist. cap, fuel filter, air filter and had my catalytic converter cleaned out but not replaced. I have been trying to find out more info to see if a reflash of the computer will do anything. I was going about 95 when my light came on. It could very well be the computer itself. I would like to know if you get this figured out so you could tell me what it was. Please email me at letscyoudoit@yahoo.com if you do. I will find this message if I get mine figured out so I can let you know. I've takin it to 3 different mechanics. The 3rd one was a Chevy dealership garage and even after hooking it up to their computer they said they still didnt know what the problem was but felt it was a fuel issue. I'm taking it to one more mechanic before I see if the dealership will reflash the computer or I might try and match one at a junk yard. There is a site that does it but I think its about 2 weeks waiting time. From what I've read so far the numbers on the computer have to match up so it keeps the correct firing order etc. Ive had 40,000 misfires on cyl 6 and 20,000 on cyl 4. Everything that could have been the cause I think I have replaced. Pretty much the only thing left is the computer. Sorry I didnt have a solid solution but I promise I will let you know when/if I get mine fixed.

Don't know if you got the problem with your vehicle fixed or not and hopefully you will see this, but I believe the issue with mine is going to be resolved. There is a neoprene fuel line that comes in from the back into the intake that gets rotted and ends up just dumping gas into the cylinders. I do not know for sure that this is the issue, but everything the guy said at the garage sounds like what my vehicle is doing and I guess from what he says it's a common issue with older Chevys (mine is a 2000) and all the problems that it would cause is exactly what mine is doing so I'm pretty hopeful this is going to be fixed. Hope that gives you someplace to start if you havent got yours figured out.
