Check for scratched defroster mines and connections at ends of glass. If it's scratched through the lines they sell repair kits.

My belt squeals only when a load is applied (lights, heater fan and rear window defroster) 2.4 engine i've put a new belt, idler pulley, and altenator does anyone have ideas

It could be the alternator bearings, especially due to it being a load related fault. They are sealed and can't be oiled Hope this helps...

Where do I start looking to see why my rear defroster is not working on my 2002 Chev Cavalier

First check fuse and relays. If none are bad, check wire connections on back window. Then take a good look at the lines in the window, are any cracked or missing sections? If so, they make a repair kit for this issue. Hope this helps.

Back window defrost

there is a break in the defrost lines. should have continuity from one end to the other, but if lines are broken (cracked window, accidentally scraped, etc.) it won't work.

first you may want to check the fuse then it is it good you may want to check or replace your relay.

The rear window defroster does not defrost. The light comes on and the fuse is good. The wiring travels via the drivers side and appears intact without interruptions.

check the lines on the inside window. if theres a break in one it wont work....they make a applicator in a bottle for a quick fix if you can spot the break in it

Rear window defroster, no driver heated seat

check the ground on the passenger side of the rear window under the trim panel. That is what was wrong with mine.
