SOURCE: 2002 highlander radio code

Good news: You do not have to worry about you issue.
Your radio (if it is a "factory" radio) does NOT require a security reset code. You do not have an "anti-theft" radio. You can disconnect the battery cables at will, and the only issue you will have is that you will lose the preset stations that you set manually.
The "anti-theft" radios were abandoned by Toyota several years ago. Hope this eases your mind.

SOURCE: Hi all.

First things first.

When you are driving, and the OD is not engaged, and is supposed to be, where is the temperature gauge needle? Is it BELOW 1/2, closer to cold? If so, you have a thermostat that is sticking open. The OD will NOT engage until the coolant temperature is 177 degrees F, or higher. If the coolant, due to the sticking open thermostat is below 177, the OD will never engage. Most likely, you have a thermostat problem. Check that before you do ANYTHING else; we might save you a ton of money.

you might want a good transmission shop to do this one,it is an electric solenoid located on the valve body under the transmission pan, this is a good time to have a new filter put in too.

SOURCE: 96 prelude automatic shift solenoid a circuit

its right on the front of your transmission . each sensor will have 2 small cylindrical peices potruding out of them ... they r real easy to see. and to fix the problem just take them off and replace them. its super easy. but autozone will try to rip u off on them they charge like 212.00 a peice for them ... so buy online for a better deal about 120.00 if u look around.

'98 VW Cabrio not shifting. List of codes below but are all related to shift solenoid A-E Should I just replace the solenoid?

basically all of the codes refer to the solenoid
check all wiring and connections for corrosion, check the condition of the oil as it may be well overdue for a change
remember that solenoids get the power from the transmission control module(TCM), the Transmission ratio(TR) sensor m) and the VSS ( vehicle speed sensor )
all of these play a part in making the solenoid work at h right time
I would suggest that you spend time discussing the problem and the codes with a professional transmission repair shop just to expand on the manuals limited information

What dose this cold mines p0768

P0768 Shift Solenoid D Electrical
A shift solenoid is an electrical valve that opens and closes rapidly to regulate pressure to a clutch pack to enable shifting. Since the code refers to the electrical portion, it could mean a break in a wire or a short.

What code p0768 in the isuzu d max 2008 is

Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0768 is defined by SAE J2012 as "Shift Solenoid "D" Electrical".

This means that the shift solenoid (solenoid "D") inside your transmission has an electrical fault. This could be due to an electrical malfunction in the solenoid itself, or the wiring that connects it to the transmission contol unit.

GETTING A CODE P0768

Hi there,

If you have correctly retrieved this code, then this relates to your transmission:

Code P0768 = Shift Solenoid D Electrical

Shift solenoids are responsible for the shifting behaviour of your transmission. This code has been triggered due to an 'out of spec' condition of this particular solenoid.

These solenoids can usually be "tapped into" (operated/tested remotely) using the manufacturer's factory scan tool, without removing or dismantling of the transmission.

I recommend you have this solenoid inspected and if definately out of spec, then the transmission fluid should be drained, trans sump cover removed and the Solenoid D 'resistance' measured.

The solenoids can usually be replaced when the sump is removed (transmission still in vehicle).

Hope this helps....

Cheers,
