Was he talking about the part that holds the power steering pump. or the actual truck frame itself.

if its the power steering bracket, it could be replaced. if the frame itself. you will have to go and see if it can be fixed.

My 2004 Ford Focus has a crack in the frame about 1 foot long under the driver's seat. I seen it when it was up on the lift. It was most likely caused by a big ice chunk that broke off a truck a

Generally speaking you need some kind of engineers certificate to confirm the repair does not affect the safety of the car so the first mechanic is correct. It should be repairable probably worth seeing an engineers workshop or car body repairer most mechanics would run from this one too hard for them.

I suppose that the required quality of the frame repair depends partly on how much you plan to stress the frame before you have the opportunity to do a complete repair. I suggest you take it easy on the truck (don't go wheeling) until the frame is fully repaired and reinforced.

I had the same problem and i brought a new ford oem cd player 2 times and my mechanic says its an electrical problem with some fords not the Cd player or the radio. So your cd player may not be junk, it may be electrical or wiring problem.

any good repair shop can fix your problem, you may have mounting bolts that sheared off, or worst case, you may have a broken frame rail, I doubt the frame is cracked or broken. The cost of this repair will depend upon what all is damaged, if it is just he bolts, they are cheap, if the gearbox itself is damaged it costs about 150 dollars, then you will have shop time (labor) which i have no idea what shop time is in your area, but it will be "x" dollars per hour, and I would say at least 3 hours to repair. I hope this is helpful to you.

Could've popped the starter relay. Sounds like the electronics in the distributor are bad. They do have a small problem with them.

1993 ford f-150 shifter busted

there are several possible ways this can happen, 1 on the transmission there is a cable that comes from the column, check to see that it is attached to the shift selector . This is located under your brake foot under the truck.
Another, on the column, towards the back of it under the dash, this same cable has a plastic cup that snaps on to a metal ball , it might have broke or just popped off.

I had power up to the area where the is like a white tape with wires inside it. On the end where it conects the cruise control and horn and air bag the is no power. I have to buy a new harness. They cost around $113.

Tie Rod Ends for Ford Ranger

To be honest, I have no experience with the changes necessary when lifting a truck's suspension. All of my work on trucks has been limited to routine maintenance and repairs. With a 5.5" lift and the associated changes in suspension geometry, I wouldn't know where to start in telling you what you'd need. I don't want to steer you wrong, so I'm going to suggest you post this in the general vehicle question area for another vehicle expert to pick up on - I'm sure someone on here can tell you what you need from their own past experience.

Sorry if it's disappointed you, but I'd rather defer to someone else than tell you something that may not be correct.
