the four cylinder engine no but if this is a V6 version then it will be more ,and by the time they want them skimmed and all that because they will not want to clean them up also a lot of garages nowdays will not want to rebuild a engine because mostly they do not have the skilled staff but employ what was called in my time semi skilled garage hands who were their to change oil and take the wheels off .From what i see of a lot of dealer garages they just want the servicing work and supplying lost keys and radio codes and fault finding with encrypted software ,I do think that in a dealership this sort of work could cost more than the car is worth and this is what they will tell you so they do not get the job but their reputation remains intact ask around and see if you can find a retired mechanic living nearby who will do a bit for you just to keep his hand in so to speak

Antitheft system keep goes on I can't start vehicle

Use the remote to deactivate alarm or use key in the door lock to unlock the door. The problem you had is when you lock the door and the alarm activates it must see a disarm signal or else it thinks someone broke the window and used the switch to open the door.

94 pathfinder v6 auto 4x4 .engine died nuw wont start ,turns over and tries to fire, maybe the timing belt broke?if so would the valve train be damaged Thanks Barry

This vehicle has an interference engine (v6-VG30E), If the timing belt ran or snapped while running, its very possible the engine is severely damaged. Hopefully this helps!!
