Have no idea what year a Y plate is at first i thought it was a secret code of some sort so without year i would hazard a guess and say mass air flow sensor its in the inlet manifold intake pipe

Sounds like it has been overheated and the head gasket has let go. Replace the head gasket and have the head skimmed.

Trouble starting when hot and loss of power???


Ask a local mechanic here ,as they very rarely give problems ,now is this the three cylinder engine or the 4 as their is a difference as to trying to you some idea as the problem and stop revving the engine up as you WILL KNACKER IT UP

Loss of power, struggling up inclines, and thumping sound that sounds like air being beaten by a helicopter


Lifter or valves could have gotten stuck due to the lack of oil which could have not reached lifters, push rods, and or valves. It is possible to to free stuck the lifter or valve but more than likely they need to be replaced.
