Is a 2000 5-4 Triton V8 Ford motor compatible with a 99 5-4 Triton V8 Ford motor will the heads are the heads both the same on each model

You may be able to ask a Dealer to look at the Vin# ID for the truck to verify. The older 1999 used 3 valves and then the next year or so the engine changed to 4 valves. This was also when the 1999 body style was carried into 2000 for the Heritage Edition. Can not say if the old style body made as a 2000 Heritage had a different engine. The older models did not have "Cam Phasers" which were problematic on the newer generation engines. Sometimes parts stores have access to Vin# requirements in their parts manuals.

They list different part numbers, so im 98% sure they are not the same, those years seem to have changed body styles somewhat.

I have cut out the old firewall in my 1971 superbeetle, but I am unable to install the replacement. The replacement part will not go in by the curve in the wheel dwells.

Sounds like you left a part of the old firewall in there or this is the wrong part. I'm not sure of the year but they changed the body style just slightly making that area a little wider in new models than the previous years. A lot of parts warehouses stock generic versions that sometimes need slight modification to fit some models.

I have problems finding parts for the 1999 Chevy K1500. Most parts I find are for the 1999 Silverado model. Is there a huge difference in the 2 models?

Yes big differance. That is the year changed for the body style. They will be getting you parts that won't fit your truck. Tell them it's for a 1998 and go from there. Good luck

Can I use a different model year door mirror on a 98 chevy lumina

Door mirrors on chevrolets tend to be model and year specific. the auto recycler can tell you for sure since most carry a book which shows what parts will interchange with what car.

Can Geo Metro parts be used to fix a Chevrolet Metro?

The hood will be the same, but the bumper will be different: the Geo Metro had its turn signals in the bumper and the Chevy Metro had them in with the headlights. The bumpers also look different, however their mounts may be the same. If your sister wants fer car to look the same you should find a bumper from a 1998-2001 Chevy Metro.
