Can a faulty battery make the renault 225 sport miss fire and run badly

the ignition system needs 12.5 volts minimum to do the job. The do this the battery has to be capable of accepting a constant charge from the alternator of 14.5 volts . If the battery has a faulty cell, dirty posts and terminals ,loose terminals, bad earth points, faulty ignition switch or if the alternator drive belt is worn or loose then what you have may occur. Have the battery load tested as they under perform in cold weather and have the alternator tested as well
Having said all that I suggest that you run the fault codes and see if there is in fact a faulty sensor causing the problem

Gave a jump start and now headlights don't work on a 2005 yukon denali

sound like battery has weak or battery terminals and post need cleaning. have battery charged and checked, if battery good. alternator not charging battery. if battery over 5 years old more likely battery is bad.if battery too weak head lights wont turn on battery dead this time of year if battery old. cold weather will finish it out.

I ve vchanged the battery and alternator on my 94 nissan sentra and the system still wont charge what is the cause

My friend is a Honda Vehicle Technican who owns a 1994 Nissan Sentra which had kept dying on him. He had called the AAA driver who stated that the alternator was good as noted on the print out report when the AAA driver ran the check on the system. It turned the alternator was bad, which somehow also affected the starter. While the AAA driver had jump started the car, the ignition switch relay got broken; and the small positive cable connection got a short; so it all, he replaced the alternator, the starter, the battery and got a new battery cable connectors, ignition switch relay and fuse for the inside of the interior lights -- and he has no problems since after spending 4 days on this problem. It would had been easier had he had a lift and the right equipment but nevertheless he got it done but missed his work -- but at least its fixed.

Battery wont stay charged alternator replaced and starter 1994 ford thunderbird

Depending on the age of your battery you should probably have it load tested. A battery with a bad cell can get what we call a surface charge. This is only good for a few minutes and it dissipates indicating a bad cell in the battery. If you loose a cell you loose two volts and that is enough to not let your vehicle start. The average battery lasts about 4 years if it is a good one. You get what you pay for in batteries. Lower priced battery equals less service out of it over the long run. Extreme hot and cold weather wreak havoc on batteries that are a few years old.

Car battery wont stay charged

If the battery is more then 5 years old .. replace it
The cold weather will cause a seemingly good battery start to fail.

Cold weather, turn on ignition and all lights very dim. I drove a mile or 2 and then check engine, ABS, and another warning light came on. Car died. We jumped it but it won't keep the charge and continues...

Sounds like a bad alternator, engine will only run till battery goes weak, due to alternator not charging system, any auto parts will check your charging system at no charge, hope this was very helpful.

Hello my name is Christina I have a 2005 Ford Explorer and my check charging system light keeps on coming up. I changed the alternator 2 to 3 times already I have had the car for about one year and half....

It seems like there is most likely a bad connection between your alternator and your battery I would look into replacing those wires. That is far more likely than that many bad alternators.

My volt light want cut off and my battery want stay charged i got a new altinator and starter all my wires have power the only thing is the battery want stay charged

Either you have an electrical drain - or the battery needs replacement.
If the battery is over 5 years old - consider a new battery. If you have a test meter - remove the +ve with ignition and all other systems off. Use the meter to measure amps between +ve cable and battery +ve.

Possible causes of drain are a security system that never goes into sleep mode - or entertainment systems incorrectly wired - even CD changers stuck.
