Had the oil changed in 2005 Lincoln Aviator. Now oil leaking from around the filter, which is tight. Problem??

yes it is.. take it back and make them give you a new filter and watch them do this...check the area ON THE ENGINE WHERE THE FILTER SEATS and wipe it clean..then on the new it sits upright on the engine..make them fill it up before they put it on, and PUT OIL ON THE GASKET OF THE FILTER..then hand tighten to 1/4 turn after contact..then 1/2 turn with the wrench..some new filters are made en-mass and arent checked for certain deficiencies after manufacturing..I have seen several new ones have pinholes in the filter even tho its new..make them give you a new one free..

What gear oil is recommended for 2005 lincoln aviator

I used SFR (Superior Friction Reduction) with 80w90 gear oil in a Ford differential and experienced an increase in MPG. Mine never made noise but I am in favor of the friction conditioning fluid with the gear oil. I ran that car for 270k miles and the rear axle was as quiet as new.
