Heat is not blowing out when at a stop. Heat only comes out when car is actually moving. Could this be a tear in my hose?

Check your recirculation switch on your a/c pannel. Plower motor may be out and blowing off the air from outside.

How come i dont get no heat?

The heater core may be plugged with rust. Good way to test it is with the engine warmed up put the controls in heat mode and then go under the hood and locate both water hoses going t the heater core. Hold on to both hoses to see if the temperature of both hoses are the same. If not, no water is getting into the core. . If the temp is the same, then control vacuum is not working. There is a check valve in the line to the control head that prevents vacuum fluctuations from moving the blend door when accelerating. Check it.

Check to see if the lever activated by the temperature control cable is actually moving when you move the control. Maybe a stuck valve in the heating system.

A/C Blows warm when idle

I can't say much without having the actual code.
When the ac stops blowing cold at idle, the most common reason is not enough air flowing thru the radiator, or the radiator fan is not running and the only air flow is when the vehicle is moving.

Heat is not blowing out when my car is at a stop - blows heat when my car is moving (like on interstate) is it a break in my hose?

No i think the coolant level is low thats all but ask a local mechanic to have a look as this sounds like it could also be the water pump ,they have a plastic impeller on a metal shaft and they tend to come loose on the shaft which can also cause the problem you have ,but check coolant level first when cold and fill to top dont worry about level marks or anything it will find its own level .

No heat or defrost blowes fine but cold

Things to check...
Check radiator fluid level. Open when COLD. System under pressure when hot. Top up if low.
You need to check the radiator not just the overflow bottle.

If it's already full, then check the heater hose shut off valve. Usually vacuum controlled, against the fire wall. Follow the small hoses back. With engine running, turn the heat control to On or Off and watch for valve to move, may take 30 seconds to move. Fan will not affect this, leave it at low but not off.
If that works OK then check that the interior heat doors / blender are moving when you control the heat.

Was it sudden or come on slowly?

No heat in 98 jimmy. Replaced water pump,

Possibly.. the actuators which operate the doors actually have a position signal for reference, but the actual motors inside the actuators dont realize there is a limit and overshoot their limits causing the fine wires inside to rip apart rendering the actuator scrap but this happens when actuators are still plugged in to the connector while being taken off the heater door, and they can and will still move with the key in the off position if the actuator thinks it not in the proper position..thats how they work anyway.hope you had them unplugged untill the last, then this would'nt happen....hope this explaination helped

There is a flap in the venting itself that can get stuck. Or the actuator that moves it can become faulty. It is located above heater core and it's housing. You will have to remove bottom console to access it.

Defroster and heat aren't working

hi from uk when engine temp is hot and heat set on max openhood and physically feel both heater hoses for temps ? if one is hot/warm and other cool ? then coolant is not circulating thro the heater matrix(radiator) as you have renewed most parts suspect without success? may i suggest your actual circulation thro the matrix is most likely to be the heater coolant valve which is elec operated as you turn the heat selector in dash both heater hoses connect to this for open/close to matrix of coolant so if valve is failed it is not servicable ? and not to difficult to locate if you follow h/hoses to heater ensure there is power to the actual valve b4 you consider replacing valve easy diy and not too expensive ? hope this helps you ?
