When do you drain & refill transmission fluid and what the normal cost of this service

If just regular driving and non severe ( mountain/hill/hot temps ) around 50000-60000 miles. Check the color of the fluid on the dipstick for fluid discoloration. It should be redish. The cost for a drain and fill should be in the 100 dollar range.

Manufacturers usually recommend cam belts be replaced between 50000 and 60000 miles (80000 to 100000 kilometers) but the safest bet is to go according to the manufacturers service guide.

Just curious. I have owned my 2006 G35X since it's first mile.I have 68,000 on it and have needed very little maintenance besides tires, oil change, brakes, etc. Would you recommend any particular...

Periodically inspect belts and hoses for cracking, dry rot, and wear. I would also recommend that you do a transmission service, about every 50000 miles. This would include changing out the transmission fluid and cleaning the screen. You have a great car...nice and dependable. You are also wise to keep it properly serviced. Good Luck with your car for a long life...if you continue to care for it, you should have many more years and miles of great service. I hope you find these tips to be very helpful!

Transmission sometimes shifts hard into next gear.

I would check the transmission and engine mounts but also it may be time for a transmission fluid change. It has a service interval just like oil. 50000 miles
