Hi and welcome to FixYa!

You may have a weak battery that's why cranking is sluggish. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you have the battery charged then observe how it will go. This can resolve the problem.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!.

Have you tried pushing the lever like you are lowering the bucket while starting it? Sometimes the pumps on these can drag the engine back while starting, especially if cold. It's best to shut them down with the bucket in the air some. Let me know how it goes.

Someone will need to disconnect the battery and check each circuit on the car for a drain. It can be anything from a faulty relay to a small light to a short in the wiring.
