Question about 2007 Hyundai Tucson Limited

1 Answer

My car's air-con (Tuczon 2007) suddenly stopped thrice! First time (only after 1 year) brought it to a service center and told me its relay just needed cleaning. 2nd time same thing; 3rd time told me there was something wrong with the climate control switch and needed to be replaced. What exactly do you call that three knobs that control the air-con system? where can I buy at the cheapest price coz they told me it cost P13,000+++here in the Philippines

SOURCE: blower fan

Sounds like the problem is more with the blower motor assembly itself. The blower motor have micro-proccers built itnto them which comunicate with the control heads and do the actual regulating of the fan motor. Dealers have computers with diagnostic software which allows them to monitor what is happening in the eletronic controls of the vehicle. Electronic diagnostics without the diagnostic software makes it very diffecult to pinpoint the actual item causing the problem.

SOURCE: The check engine light came on on my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Well actually this is the most embarasing code to get... It actually means your emission purge line is inoperative. Yes your scanner told you a generic definition, which is the nature of OBD 2 but, the truth is that 10 out of 10 times this code will not be fixed by replacing the gas cap. This particular code relates to any one of 3 components, and two sensors in your evap system. Test the sensors, and if they are good, then have your evap canister weighed. If it is the correct weight, then don't replace it, check the valve on the purge line, if that is fine then you have to replace the filler neck. Not because the filler neck is bad, but because there is a filter made into it which is connected to the purge line which is plugged with charcole and fuel, and this is where it gets embarasing... Its plugged because you over filled your tank too many times. Letting the pump go until it shuts its self off is very easy, but also very costly. As you have just found out.

SOURCE: blower fan

Switch needs replaced in dash. you will have to take it out of the car and put a new fan switch, should work in all positions, and since its stuck that would be what I would replace first, not sure on procedure.

SOURCE: just had clutch need replaceing for the 3rd time

if it was worn out then it could be driver error, but if you suffered a very bad vibration from the clutch the it is the dual mass flywheel that is the problem...may need replacing.

Why does the air not come out of center vents on 2007 toyota camry

If the air-con is automatic, press the Mode button until the "arrow" sign pointing the "passager" sign appear on the air-con control panel. If is Manual control, trun the Mode Button until the alignment mark match with the "arrow point to the passager" on the contral panel. If no respone, the control is defective. Ask the air-con specialist to repair.

Why has my air conditioning stopped blowing cold air , engine light come on and coolant readout (in the driver info. center)a stopped showing any numbers

If your check engine light is on you usually have a code. Where I live several auto part stores will read the code for free. It would help to have a code.
If you have 2 fans on the radiator one should come on when you turn the A/C on. The other fan come on when engine reaches engine operating temperature. You have relay for compressor and the fan motor. Does the inside fan stop blowing. If a fuse was blown they should not work at all but a relay could drop out and in. I have found a bad relay over the years by checking the temperature of the relays, it is not always the case.. I have had a couple relays which were a lot hotter than the others, helped identify the bad relay. you can get the relay checked at the auto parts store. The low pressure switch could be creating problems with low Freon pressure. some info fuse relay below.

My fuel injector on my2004 nissan titan went out about 2 years ago. i went to a mechanic who got me a new one and installed it. 2 weeks later it stops again. i go back and he says its a relay, which nissan...

In the two years since it last worked the gas pressure could have fallen so now it won't work and wouldn't have worked if you hadn't borrowed the relay.

On average a vehicle air-con needs a top up every couple of years so I suggest you begin by visiting your local air-con service centre.
