you can buy coil springs that have an air bag inside the coils
They can be attached and then a small hose is run to a place on the bumper
you us a compressor to pump up the air bags to carry the extra load
They are available from off road retailers and are known as helper units
but if you want to raise the ride height of the vehicle , get the correct engineered springs for the job
there is no cheap safe short cut like what you have tried

Why have you not unplugged the compressor or
removed the fuse?

That whole problem you have is so simple

The most trouble you could possible have is to
get the check light off & a look at a wiring diagram
would resolve that

Air ride suspension leaking in rear of car is their a better solution than air ride...my car is a 1994 continental has 104k runs great thats the only thing wrong is the air ride suspension...


It is possible to go with conventional springs/shocks instead of the air ride system. This has become a common "fix" for faulty air bags due to the expense. The ride will still be great, you will only lose the load leveling ability that the air bags provided.

CHECK AIR SPRINGS SOLENOID O- RINGS FOR LEAKS.LISTEN FOR AIR LEAKS AROUND EACH AIR SPRING. WHILE CAR ON GROUND. IF YOU SPOT A LEAK.TURN OFF AIR SUSPENSION OFF FIRST.THEN SAFELY RAISE VECHICLE.REPLACE ALL AIR SPRINGS SOLENOID O - RINGS BUT FIRST BLEED AIR OUT OF AIR SPRINGS FIRST BY REMOVING AIR SPRING SOLENOID CLIP THEN SLOWLY PULL AIR SPRING SOLENOID TO SECOND STOP DONT PULL ALL THE WAY OUT.TO SAFELY LOCK OUT VECHICLE REMOVE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE TO KEEP AIR COMPRESSOR FROM TURNING ON.YOU DONT WANT AIR IN SPRINGS WITH VECHICLE IN THE AIR. This is air bag code 23, it refers to the safing sensor and/or diagnostic monitor. electrical diagnosis will be required for the circuit providing voltage to the monitor and the sensor to verify the point of failure, vehicle may require a sensor or you may have a corroded wire to or from the the sensor or monitor, I suggest getting the test proceedure and doing the test or have a qualified technician perform the test as air bags can be dangerous(& costly) when improper proceedures are used!

The heater blows cold air and the anitfreeze is leakig


the clamp is definitely not tight... tighten it first and see if there is a change in heat also refill what you lost in antifreeze also see it the hose itself is not leaking if so replace both to be sure and possible flush the heater core while your at that point .

Blowen head gasket


If you had a blown head gasket, you would have HUGE amounts of white clouds of smoke coming out of the tailpipe. Your engine would be overheating/temp gauge reading high. Since you have not described either of these two things, I would hesitate to pronounce your veh with a head gasket problem.
Now, the bubbling that you speak of: MR2s are notorious for "air pockets" in the cooling system, as the engine & the radiator have a significent distance from each other. This can cause the bubbling sound. Knowing this, Toyota had the wherewithall to provide a cooling system air bleed proceedure when it was built. Open the front hood, and remove the spare tire. You should see a plastic tube coiled against the firewall. This ius for bleeding the air from the cooling pipes under the car. If you do not have the owner's manual that describes the coolant bleed proceedure, I will e-mail you a copy.
I would look at this long before I ripped the head off for no reason.
