Question about 1995 Nissan Maxima

My car shakes I changed spark plugs, coils but not injectors..could it be the throttle body or the injectors?

Run a good fuel system cleaner through it and make sure coil grounds are tight.

My 2005 4runner had a code came up about the spark plugs not firing t was shaking and loosing power going up hills. I replaced them but now the shaking is happening sooner.

if it was for a misfire the spark plugs are not the only reason can be also coil - coil wire - timing --bad wire / connection --a valve --fuel -fuel delivery failure--dirty injectors--throttle body

Before going to the extreme of new computer i would check the crank angle sensor.With older cars there was a ignition distributor a mechanical part that physically triggered each spark plug when it needed to fire.That has been phased out so the crank angle sensors job is to inform the ecu of the rotational position of the engine to trigger the spark plug coils and injectors. It usually reads of the flywheel or the crank pulley

You might have bad connection in wire harness, Wiggle the wires while reving the engine. Do this at night to see any sparks in the dark. Look for sparks around the Spark coil. You may need new coil.

Hello there, i have BMW 525 E39 Car... the car engine is shaking while idle but smoother when i drive. at workshop, we checked the spark plugs, Coil, exhaust and change fuel pump. at diagnosis it says...

There's a handful of possibilities. You said you checked the coil? There are 6 coils - one per cylinder above each spark plug. Regardless, you say it runs well when driving, it's at idle when it shakes - indicates a vac leak. Check the inlet tube (large rubber hose to intake) for cracks, also check all smaller vac lines in and around throttle body, Inside throttle housing is a fine mesh screen that could be clogging up. Also depending on mileage, you might have the injectors cleaned, they will get gummed up and stick at idle/low speed.

2.8l were known for fuel injectors, vacuum leaks up by the throttle body, and there is also the idle speed control, but sounds like injectors or vacuum, double check your wires on the coils too

You don't have wires,you have COP-Coil-On-Plug system.
If you have the codes,you could change the coils yourself.Their $59.00 at the auto parts store.

There is a misconception about tune-ups.
You only have spark plugs,and air filter,that would need replacing,that effect engine performance (Tune-Up)
Also, you can Clean the MAF Sensor,in the ducting,between the air filter and throttle body,with CRC MAF Cleaner. You could spray the inlet to the throttle
body,but I wouldn't bother.
I consider plugs& filters ,general preventative maintainance,nothing really tunes the engine,but it's own processors.

If you remove the coil cover, on top of the valve cover,you access the coils.Have to remove the coils to get to the plugs. The plugs aren't your issue,unless they have been in the engine for years or the valve cover O"Rings are leaking oil onto the plugs. Three coils seems questionable.

My 2003 expedition is idleing and running rough

Its recommended to replace all coils at the same time you replace the plugs. I had the same problem @62000miles, changed the same part, including injectors at the ford dealer. It just got worst, I replaced all the coils and engine ran like new.

Have you heard of Noid lights? You unplug the fuel injector and plug these in and they will light up if the injector is getting power. This might give you a better hint. There are also lights that go inbetween the spark plug and wire. Between these two items you may be able to narrow down the problem to a specific system. I believe that your car has a coil pack. Some of these engines have problems with the crank trigger. I believe it is located on the back side of the motor. If you decide to change it, be careful. I have heard of them breaking into two pieces and becoming a big problem.
