Where the hinges hold the hood on may have moved and is out of align, look there and see if hinges look like they have and check screw, the hole in center may not be lined up,you will have to loose hinges and realign. Also check where the hood shuts, the part on vehicle where hood piece goes into,

I need to replace the hose from the windshield washer fluid reservoir to I don't know where. I don't know where it goes from there. A diagram of the hoses would be helpful.

The pipe should run from the washer jets along the back edge of the bonnet then through via the hinge inot the engine compartment.

1993 toyota pickup hood hinge stiff/binding

Hi Cg, Not sure which Toyota you have? The Hilux has bolts from the hinge into the hood. There are two on each side and adjustments can be carried out by loosening these four. Regards John

How can i replace the hood lift supprt on a 1998 ford explorer?

This shows you how to take the hood off, the hinges, I am not sure how to replace those since my online resources doesn't cover that portion of body work. The diagram seems to show that the hinge goes into the firewall, so if you want you might have to cut into the firewall, but this is more of a salvage yard procedure.

I would look at the hood lift support more closely to see if you can indeed replace it.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Fig. 1: Exploded view of the hood-to-hinge mounting 85550005.gif
NOTE: It is highly recommended that you have at least one assistant helping during this operation.
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Matchmark the hood-to-hinge position.
  3. Disconnect any electrical wire harness plugs.
  4. Have you're assistant(s) support the weight of the hood.
  5. Remove the hood-to-hinge bolts and lift the hood off of the hinges.
  6. Installation is the reverse of the removal. Loosely install the hood and align the matchmarks. Tighten the bolts securely. Before removing the hood, matchmark the hood hinge to the hood 89680p03.jpg
If equipped, disconnect the hood light wire harness plug . . . 89680p04.jpg

While an assistant holds the hood, remove the hinge-to-hood attaching bolts 89680p06.jpg

Replace hood support

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the hood to replace the hood hinges. Hood hinges can be replaced one at a time.

1. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the hood hinge on the hood and body for the hinge being serviced.
2. Support the hood and disconnect the support cylinder from the hood.
3. Remove the bolts that secure the hood hinge to the hood .
4. Remove the bolt that secures the hood hinge to the front fender.

This is a two-person job. Have the bolts in hand and lift the hood over the car's front end and locate it on the hood hinges.
Place the bolts in loosely at first. You'll need to adjust them for proper fit. Open and close the hood to align and tighten the bolts when in the right spot.
Hope this is what you needed to know.

How to change hood struts 1989 Pontiac Trans Am?

you first have to take off the hood (2 bolts on each side where the hood meets the hinge) then take off the hood hinges (3 or 4 bolts on each side on top of fender) and after all that your hood hinges should be off. on each end there will be a metal retainer that holds the strut on the hinge, carefully pry these off with a screwdriver and install new struts, bolt the hinges back on and finally the hood

(have a friend help you lift the hood off)
