SOURCE: Changing Rear Speakers in a 1996 a4.

First remove the rear seat bottom cushion (grab the front edge roughly in the center of each seat position and pull up firmly, and it'll unclip and come out). Then fold down the rear seatbacks. Now, the side bolsters for the seats (between the seatbacks and the doors) have to come off. First, pull down strongly near the bottom (there's an upward-facing hook there that clips onto a ring and holds the bottom in place). Pull down and forward and it'll come off. Then slide your hand about 75% of the way up, and pop the bolster straight forward to pop out a retaining clip. Finally, you can remove the top of it from its mount, and you'll have the bolster out. Repeat for the other side.

Go into the trunk and look up at the bottom of the rear shelf. The harness plug for the third brake light is there - unplug it.

Now, back in the rear seat area, just grab the front edge of the parcel shelf and lift upward to pop it loose, and the whole thing will slide forward. Then you can remove your speakers.

Install is the reverse of disassembly.

You have to remove the backseat, the back upper sidepillar trim and then the cover over the speakers.

SOURCE: Rear Speaker in Montero Limited is bad

Item 21 (the upper interior trim piece) needs to be removed, prior to removing the bottom piece #22. The only screws that hold #21 in are at the handle at the top, then you just pop it out. There are about 6 screws on the bottom part.

Weak battery

The way to solve a problem with Honda auto is to never buy another one. I have a 04 CR-V and 08 accord. I have had rear brakes wear out with less than 30000 miles on accord and the battery won't hold up as it keeps going dead, The CR-V A/C went out and the dealer told me it would cost $3,000 plus to fix. Honda dealerships have convinced me that I should never again buy a Honda as they will not stand behind their warranty
. I would never recommend a Honda to anyone unless they are my enemy.

2008 honda accord replace rear brakes

no, 12mm wrench or ratchet on 12mm socket. the piston is tough to push back in. its a twist in type and you will need some force to push and twist the piston back in. - note rear brake pads wearing out on the new 08-09 accords are very common and if under 16-18 thousand miles it may be covered. honda knows about this problem

How to remove and reinstall speakers in a 1999 Honda Accord

really simple process for the front doors. just remove the door panels and its self explainatory when you look at it. the rear speakers are a little more difficult. Use a flat head screw driver to pop off the speaker covers and use the correct size wrench to remove the screws. If you're putting in after market speakers, you will need to splice them. then just put everything back.

I need to know how to get to the door speakers before i break anything. i dont know if you can take the speaker cover off or if yoy have to take off the door panel.

If you want to replace the speakers, you will have to remove the door panel. Removing the cover will only allow you to clean the cover or remove any foreign matter from the speaker cone.
