Try tapping the window motor with a hammer or something as you are pushing the button and sometimes this will loosen the motor up enough to turn it on to go up. It's worked for me in the past but not every time. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Motor on window works, wont go up

there are 3 class failures on motors (all)

1: The motor don;'t get full 12vdc power (use a voltmeter)
2; the motor is weak, they sure can be , like bad commutator segments and open windings off a segment. etc. or partially seized.
3 the window track jams.

so which is it, well of 12vdc is there we are down to 2 possible
if you remove motor and try to operate the drive by hand
proves #3 and that proves #2
or swap left and right motors, to see i fit cures prob..
im tool lazy to look up p/n of both motors see if same but you can.

Ive got a 96 eclipse 5speed and i stopped at a redlight and went to take off and it just revved. so i got someone to push me to the side of the road. it was pouring ****** fluid and the driver side ax

It sound like you lost a half shaft, which is one of the drive axles on a front wheel drive car. They are usually not hard to replace. But you might need a large torque wrench upwards of 200 foot pounds. And make sure to use the correct type of transmission fluid to refill the transmission with.

1997 honda accord with power windows....driver side window wont roll up or down...ive replaced the window motor and master switch

Before you change make sure there is power on the board , if so the circuit must be checked for delivering voltage as the switch is pressed. the switch can be checked with a multimeter for continuity. Only if there is power to the motor without response must the motor be changed. if not the fault can be the control circuit board, maybe failure of the motor driver.

There is power to th window but it still wont go up

Sounds like the window lift motor assembly. These can be bought at Autozone. Unfortunately it's pretty common for them to go bad.

How to remove motor for rear window and how to roll window up without the motor

you will have to remove door panel and disconnect switch in panel, set aside. look down on the bottom of glass you should see 2- 10 mm screws attaching the glass to window regulator/motor assembly once the 2 screws are removed you should be able to lift the glass. You would have to shim or block glass up.Im pretty sure this one is one of them you buy the motor assembly. If you see a wire cable coming out of a black plastic coating that is the problem but you can push window up as long as you find somthing to put inside door to block it.

Power window

If the window works at all, it's not a switch or relay. Most likely it's the drive motor or regulator mechanism. The regulator acts as a counterbalance to help the motor lift the heavy window. If the counterbalance mechanism is broken, the motor has to lift the whole weight without any assistance, thus it moves slowly and laboriously. Also, continued use will grind the motor gearbox to dust, too, which makes the problem worse. Go by your local parts store and get a Haynes manual for your car. It'll have pictures and good step-by-step how-to-fix-it instructions for this and most other problems you're likely to have with your car.

A Haynes manual is the cheapest and best repair money you'll ever spend. You owe it to yourself to get one for everything you drive. Us it to diagnose your problem exactly. It'll tell you how to get the door panel off, where the mounting screws and hidden clips are, and pretty much everything else you need to know. When you know exactly what parts you need, start calling around to check prices and delivery. Don't forget E-bay, too. Good place to look for lots of car parts.

Hope this helps.
