Question about 2006 Chevrolet Impala
Just follow the positive battery cable to engine block ,the starter is at the end of wire ,i believe is a 15mm socket to remove two bolts holding starter and also there is one tiny nut holding a small wire at the back of starter ,,,,,,good luck

In the wiring diagrams there is a COMPUTER DATA LINES SYSTEM wire. From what I have read the radio won't cause the car not to start. Did you make sure you didn't drain the battery? Is the Theft Deterrent light on? If it is you're going to need a scanner to get the codes. This is what the Theft Deterrent system does with the radio.
I think if the Theft Deterrent light is on you will have to start there if not just diag a no crank condition.
