I put 4 dollars in gas in my 98 jmc Jimmie it was dead empty now it does not wanting start out can put a little bit in the the boul and it will fire but it doesn't seam like it is picking up the fuel ...

not knowing the amount of fuel you put in is the problem
how much is 4 dollars because it doesn.t seem much
the fix is a full tank and then if there is no fuel being pumped, replace the pump as the small plastic gears will be melted by running without fuel to lubricate them
always a very bad idea to run the tank empty

Where to drain the bad gas from I mixed it with diesel

There is NO drain on the tank bottom.....Disconnecting fuel line/add extension if/as needed, place hose/extension in aux fuel tank, add 'Modis',request fuel pump 'on' & drain tank.....Add fresh fuel, replace fuel filter & ad fuel injector cleaner (Preferably Lucas #10020) & PROPERLY dispose of waste fuel.

Why still no fuel pressure

Are you checking fuel pressure at the engine fuel rail with a pressure gauge hooked up, and key on? And you still hear the pump turn on for 2 seconds with key in on position?
There should be pressure in the fuel rail then. If not, is it possible you put the new filter in backwards? I would take off the line going into the filter from the gas tank, and leave off for a test: you're right, the pump turns on for 2 seconds with key on to put pressure in the line and the fuel rail. But then when the engine is cranking, the pump is turned back on. To check if the pump is picking up fuel, have someone crank the engine over while you watch at the filter: gas should shoot out in a good stream. If it doesn't, check for a kinked line from filter to the tank. If the line is good, you will have to take the tank back off and see why the pump is not picking up fuel and sending it out.
Let me know what you find. If the pump shoots out gas at the filter area, but still no fuel pressure at the engine, check the line from the filter to the engine-may be kinked, blocked, or clogged.

Need to drain the gas

Hook a fuel pressure gauge to fuel rail on motor
& jump relay to pump out fuel

Stop before the tank is empty or you ruin the pump

If it is dead-- try a vinyl hose down the filler to syphon
or remove the rubber filler hose to tank & put hose in there

Not a fun job

Where does the fuel line at the end of the injector rail run to on a 1991 rodeo

All fuel injected systems have a feed line to the engine's fuel rail to keep constant pressure at the injectors fuel entry point. A tiny bit goes into the engine cylinders when the computer allows the injector to open by a signal pulse.
And the rest of the fuel in the rail is pushed by the pump back to the gas tank by a Fuel Return Line (what you are seeing and the other line in all fuel injected systems.
Think about it. The pump is running constantly (with the engine), so to avoid pressure build-up, or having to continually turn the pump on and off, voila, put in a return line after a pressure regulator gets the pressure right in the rail, and let the excess go back to the tank. Pretty good idea: no stale gas left there on top of engine. I hope this helps you understand it better.

Free_Schematic_Diagram2000 toy tacoma fuel line

Don't have a diagram, but maybe I can help. Do you see the injectors? They are held on by o-rings to the "fuel rail". On a v-6, there would be two fuel rails connected together with piping. The line from your tank goes right into this fuel rail, and with the pump, keeps a steady pressure up to feed the injectors. On one end of the fuel rail is a small circular object with a vacuum line. That is your pressure regulator. It keeps the pressure constant, and the excess fuel goes out the regulator and into your fuel return line, back into the gas tank. The fuel rail would be on top of the intake manifold, bolted down. Hope this helps.

1997 Dodge Intrepid has set up for several months while in hospital. Will not fire. Put small gas amount in air intake and it fires and runs for 10-15 seconds. Gas probably not getting to injectors. Pump...

Several months could be a tank of bad gas. When turning the ignition to on position the pump runs for 3 to 5 seconds to pressurize the system, next find the valve on fuel rail and press it, Shield with a rag while doing this. You should get fuel. Check the way it smells, bad gas has an awful smell that can make you hurl! Attach a fuel pressure tester, it should be around 50lbs. If it's bad empty the tank by pressing the needle and relieving the pressure. Next disconnect fuel line before the filter get a container to catch the gas. IN the engine conpartment disconnect the fuel pump relay and put a jumper wire to run the pump until tank is drained. Instal new filter and pump if needed and add a can of "Seafoam" to the tank with fresh gas. Run pump until there's fuel at the fuel rail then put relay back in. now we should have ignition and constant running. Hope this helped.

Easiest way, is to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail and jumper the fuel pump circuit in the fuse box.
