Hi, get your head under the dash to look at how the pedal arm pushes against the switch. It should push it all the way in and then stop. If the stop is missing or the switch is not installed properly, make repairs. Otherwise, replace the switch. You can always bypass the switch by removing the connector and putting a big paperclip in the connector to connect the terminals. Thanks for using FixYa.

There is a safety switch for that, attatched to the clutch arm, which may be out of adjustment, or going bad.

Pretty obvious

Adjust or replace clutch switch,if it
is tested, and found to be worn

The clutch peddle will not come up it stays on the floor

Check on the upper part of the pedel to see if the clip that connects the pedel to the clutch master cylinder has poped off If the clutch pedel is on the floor this is a likely sulition and relitively easy repair you just reattach the clip

Clutch keeps coming out

if you mean the clutch doesnt engage until the pedel is nearly all the way out (up) .. then there is an adjustment for that called "free pedel adjustment" .. its usually a 5 min job .. however if there is any clutch chatter or noise then you may need a new clutch plate ... a bigger job ... one way to burn up the clutch plate is to allow it to slip for a long time ... and thats what will happen if the free pedel adjustment isnt done soon ... if your problem is not that then maybe you can expain more ....

New clutch and car is still slipping

in some cases if the ther is not enough free play in the clutch pedel as the engine area heats up things will expand in this case the distance of freeplay in your clutch pedel. have your clutch pedel freeplay adjusted. Also it is recomeded NOT to resurface the flywheels on nissans It dose change the hight and the distance for where the fingers of the pressure plate and the release bearing flang contact

Clutch

it could be either, look at your master cylinder in engine bay and look for leaks, if you find none look inside the car up under the clutch pedel, check for fluid seeping around where the pedel arm goes thru firewall and possibly under carpet
