It's funny but I have the same problem after installing a new stereo. I even replaced all the fuses to see if that might be it and it fixed the lights but no radio still.

My brake lights stopped working. I have replaced the bulbs and checked the fuses (not easy to figure out which was brake light - still not sure but checked M13, 37 and 34) and all are okay. Does anyone have a solution?

I have a recurring issue of my brake lights going out all the time for my 2007 Dodge Nitro, I have taken it to the dealer on all occassions to replace and it still burns out. Radio was not working properly too and had that replaced, worked for awhile and now doesnt work again, going outside to replace yet another brake light! Can you say electrical problem? Too bad dodge doesnt want to acknowledge it as such! Hmmph.

Hi Luis
Some Chevrolets have two fuse panels. One under the engine hood, and another in the side of the dash or under back seat...check this, and if so,recheck those fuses acording to the diagram on the lid. 2nd....check for short to fuse panels...good luck

1994 dodge dakota my headlights and tail lights and brake lights don't work my abs and parking brake lights are on my dash lights don't work either I replaced the headlight switch and still no

These are all different circuits. The brake lights are on a 10amp fuse - the headlights are on a 50amp fuse - and the parking and dash lights are on a 20amp fuse.
Do you have power going into the headlight switch and the brake light switch ?

Left headlight, dash lights, and both tail lights do no illuminate. brake lights and high beams work fine. what would cause this to happen, fuses are good.

Most certainly a wiring fault, you need a wiring diagram, these items are related as in all on same circuit. Check rear of fuse box.

I have a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited i have brake lights that work when i apply brakes, but as as soon as i turn my headlights on the fuse blows and i have no working tailights with the headlights on. ...

There is definitely a short in the park lights system. Did you just have a radio installed....since the illumination wire sometimes gets grounded and will cause that fuse to blow until you fix that wire.

Headlight, brake lights and radio light is out.

An over charging condition can burn out bulbs. Are the turn signals flashing faster than normal? Either way I would have the generator voltage checked. You acan do this with a simple volt meter accross the battery with the engine running but have somone hold the throttl open just off idle for the test. Also you can check in with Advance Auto parts or others, they will check your charging sytem for you for free I think.

Good luck

Geo tracker lights and radio not working

power loss.
any good car elect. tech find this pronto.
just takes a volt meter to find the voltage drop point.

top fails:
1: corroded fuse box on right front finder (under fuse box)
2: did you say it kills motor too. cant figure above.

what about heater fan, it uses tons of current.
as does HL followed by tails.

20amps, 15amps and 5amps respectively

you have resistance some where.
and load , kills the voltage .

for me.
i'd:
check battery voltage , when it dims out.
then of ok 12.5v is ok key on,not started.
then check voltages at a right fender , fuse panel
all points there, 12.5vdc , same as battery v.
if OK
then
check voltage at the fuse above right knee
with load full, hl, fan, brakes, just key on.

now you know what circuit is fail ing by now.

report back with this facts.

I have check all the fuses I can think of and just replaced the headlight relay fuse and I still have no headlight. A friend of mine jump started my car the other day and touched the jumper cables...

I would replace the bulbs wich dont work and take the radio out and see if there is a fuse behind there as there usually is as this could of blown causing the radio not to work.
