The Ford dealer has a book called an EVTM(Electrical Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual). It has the diagram and they will usually make you a copy of it for no cost.

Check Fuses and Relays, but this has a GEM (general electronics module). You may need and auto-electrician as nothing covers brake lights, but that may be a fault with the brake light switch.

you can either reach them from underneath(its still tight too get too)
or take lose the the motor mount on the top passenger side and rock the engine forward!!!
your best bet for a diagram is to ask for a suspension printout at your local dealership. Or take a look under any 86-95 Ford Taurus SLO, SHO, or Sable and they use the same design (the SHO just uses slightly different parts. Here is a link though for a SHO parts list with part numbers. the layout for the fuses should be under the lid of the fuse box itself and the relay box it is normally imprinted right on the top and a diagram under the lid also
