This one sounds tricky but I have a few suggestions. Here is how I suggest going about figuring this out. The first thing that I would check is for any obvious damage that the serpentine belt breaking off may have caused. I am thinking that the belt breaking off may have damaged the crankshaft position sensor. This sensor is responsible for telling the vehicles computer (which controls fuel injection) where the engine is at in its rotation so it knows which cylinder needs to be fired off next in the firing order. This sensor is located right behind the crankshaft pulley/Harmonic Balancer. It seems to me like it would not take much to have a broken belt whip around and possibly bust the connector off or even break the sensor. It may be difficult to visually see it and could require removing the pulley which will require a special puller that can be rented from most auto parts store. If everything I mentioned is in good shape then I would dis-regard the belt breaking at this time and begin diagnostics on the fuel pump. Some questions that will need to be answered are is there 12 volts at the fuel pump electrical connector when cranking. If so, I would replace the fuel pump. If not then the computer is not signaling the pump to turn on and you will have to check the wiring from the pump to the computer and the fuel pump relay. Let me know what you come up with and I will be happy to provide some more insight. Good Luck!

Car wont start or fire even with starting fluid

To review - - if you have spark, fuel, and compression, you should have combustion.
In this case, if the timing belt is damaged, you might not have compression or spark at the right time.
A faulty crank or cam sensor could cause you not to have spark at the right time.
The spark plugs could be worn out or fuel fouled and not able to fire under compression.

I will try to help you. You are correct about the starting fluid, if it has fire starting fluid should do something. So the problem must be either no fire to the plugs or the timing belt is broke.

Check to see if the plugs have spark. If they do not, then get with the Autoparts store and ask if your car needs a Ignition relay to run. Then ask if your car takes a rubber timing belt. If your car does not have a rubber timing belt try the Ignition relay. If you do have a rubber belt check behind the shield in front of the engine to see if the timing belt is broke.

The timing belt is different than the serpetine belt that drives the pulleys. Cars with rubber timing belts have both belts. Should your timing belt be broken it is not an expensive repair. But you will need to details on replacement of that part.

90 Honda Accord will not crank or start. It has full power, checked fluids, pulled main relay and it looks fine. Starting to think it might be the starter but it was just replaced a few months ago.

you might want to check to see if it has fire if not it is probally the timming belt if it does have fire then you need to chek your fuel pump spray some strating fluid in the intake where the air filter is and if it starts then it probally your fuel pump
