Question about 1994 Mercury Cougar

My 94 cougar is chugging really hard, i replaced the pcv valve and gave it a tune up, checked the firing order, wires, distributor cap and rotor, and it still misfires like crazy and almost dies while idling, when accelerating takes forever to accelerate, very rough idling

Clean mass air flow sensor. I fixed one like that with some rubbing alcohol and a q Tip. Car had no power and would not rev up.

What parts would i need to do a tune up on 2005 mitsubishi endeaver

For a tune up with most newer cars all you need is spark plugs, spark wires, and boots if you have coil packs but that should come with the wire bundle. If you have a Distributor system. Then you need a distributor cap and button. With the spark plugs and wires. If you never did a tune up before. Replace the wires one at a time matching the wires in length. This makes sure that the firing order is correct. Check your pcv valve, and air filter.

How did you make the determination that all the firing orders are wrong? No matter what the source was, the firing order should be the same no matter who you got the information from. Am I correct on this.....that everybody keeps giving you the same firing order??? As a point of emphasis I would like to know if you recieved conflicting specifications regarding the firing order. You may want verify the calibration of the distributor's position. At TDC the distributor rotor should be pointing to #1 cylinder terminal on the distributor cap, or 90 degrees across from it. Please verify.

I did a tune up on my 94 Chevy suburban 1500 4x4 and it runs so bad and and dies now and when I put any kind of pressure on the gas it chugs and sometimes dies, and I'm sucking down fuel. It ran good...

With the information given it is kind of hard to make a correct diagnosis, but I believe I would look at the correct firing order. If it ran ok before the tune-up and runs worst now it sounds as if you might have gotten a few of the wires in the wrong place.
You will want to start out by removing your number one spark plug and either hook up a remote start switch or have someone help you turn the engine over while you put a finger over the spark plug hole in the head. Just bump the key over little by little until you feel air being pushed out of the plug hole and stop when the engine's timing mark lines up with top dead center. If you pop your distributor cap the rotor will be pointing at your number one plug position of the cap. Start there with the number one plug wire and work your way around clock wise in the firing order of 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2 If having the wires in the wrong order is your problem, this should get you sorted out.

I have a 89 1500 with a 350 5.7l and i poot a new 350 5.7l out of a 94 and now flames come out of inj when you start it

You either have the firing order wrong or the timing is not set right. You get fire out of the intake when a spark plug fires when an intake valve is still open. Order is 18436572 cylinders are 1357 front to back on drivers side, 2468 on passenger side. Turn the engine so the mark on the crank points to "0" on the timing scale. Set the distributor so the rotor points towards the front of the engine (not exactly but not at the firewall) If when at "0" it points to fw, turn one more time. Set wires on cap with #1 aligned with the rotor, then all others in order clockwise.
Only other possibility is that you have the valves adjusted too tight, have a bad cap or rotor or the replacement engine has a burned valve (doubt it).

Tune up

When you want to get a tune up on your truck make sure you replace the following items. :
*spark plugs, (check your spark plug wires replacing them if needed)
*Air Filter
*Fuel filter
*PCV Valve
*Oil filter and engine oil
*Distributor cap and rotor.

No problems really,stalls once in a while. Just curious what consists of a tune-up on my engine. what I should replace and so on.

This would include your spark plugs or coils, the wires, a new distributor cap, an oil change, air filter, fuel filter, and a coolant flush. A tune up can make a car run like new again. Some don't change the fuel filter on a tune up but I have always said it is best too. They can get clogged up over time.

I would change the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, check and change air filter if dirty, check timing, check and top off all fluids, check or change transmission fluid, check brake pads/.shoes and drums/rotors for wear and check tire pressure, check the condition of all belts and hoses and replace as needed, check condition of radiator antifreeze and top off or replace as needed.

I need to change the pcb valve, the air filter and the spark plugs, and I have to do it myself ...How?

Why do you need to replaced the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation)valve? they never go bad unless its broken, if it makes you feel bettter just clean it.(carb or brake cleaner) the air filter is easy. I dont know your handiness, but the spark plugs should be simple enough. Use NGK spark plugs, the correct ones for your car, and replace them 1 at a time. Torque them to 18lbs (snug, not overly tight)

94 royal begis to cut out, chugs at about 55

Replace the spark plugs and wires along with a distributor cap and rotor. Be careful to leave the old wires and plug wires connected to dist.cap, just remove dist. cap from the distributor and lay aside with plug wires on it then install rotor then new cap and proceed to replace each wire for cap and spark plug one at a time so you don't mix up the spark plug wire firing order. Cap laying to the side is used for reference purpose.
