The best site to give you this information would be http://www.2carpros.com/diagrams. I would get a Haynes or Chilton's repair manual for the information to be more accurate and have photos of the actual assembly.

Don't know which timing (twin turbo) marks to go by. There are arrows' single and double line marks?

Hi the best thing to do is google a cambelt diagram and print it out, most subaru cambelts are the same but the marks will make more sense once you have the diagram

I have a DOHC 1998 twin turbo EJ20 subaru BH5 , engine is knocking. Will a BG5 DOHC EJ20, slot in ....? are they the same ?

Yes they will bolt in. Make sure you have the sensors matched. You might have to do some playing with the computer to make it all work properly. Good luck and have a great day.

I accidently removed the cam belt without marking it. i have a 1991 legacy ej20 non turbo quad cam and wounder if anyone had the timing mark diagram i could use to help line everything up. cheers

As long as the timing marks on the cams are lined up with the marks on the head ( And the crank is lined up as well - marks on the block - TDC) then the belt should be lined up correctly, however, if you do need the marks, a new belt should have them and they aren't too terribly expensive - ($25.00) - You could also take your belt and a little bottle of white touch up paint (Or magic marker you can see)to the parts store and transfer the marks from a new belt to your old belt, but if it had any miles on it ( 10K+) I'd go ahead and replace it if I were in there that far...-

2000 quad cam subaru wont start after replacing cam belt

Your 180 off dont try to start it anymore unless you want bent valves.I just bought a fixer w/bent valves due to 180 off time the woodruff key on a Subaru isnt tdc its the vertical line on the outer fin on the pulley in line with the vertical line on the oil pump 12 oclock the top cams single line 12 oclock. II the double lines pointing 6 oclock pointing to bottom cams II double line at 12 oclock.A manual  is pricless for this info and saves time

Timing marks and procedures

If it is the 2.5 EJ25 motor the marks ar on the cover and pulleys. Top pulleys are Single line straight up and double straight down which should line up with bottom pulleys double marks. This should line up the single lines on bottom pulleys with 90 degree mark on outer cover both sides. The center pulley for crank should be straight up with notch in block.
