Do you get a ticking sound when you turn on your turn signals? Does that ticking sound tick faster than usual?

  • johnny mcneely Mar 22, 2011

with the key 'on' you have no turn signals? all the lights cannot blow at the same time,so it has to be a blown fuse, under the dash, or the main fuse box under the hood.look for black box,on the drivers fenderwell.lift the cover off.under the lid to the fuse box lid, you'll see the locations of the fuses and relays.thank you for choosing

1990 corrolla broken timing belt. Is there a way to know TDC on compression stroke without removing the valve cover? Thanks.

sure compressiong gauge
if #1 is the setup, you didnt say,
firing order is 1 3,4,2.
so the crank fires every 180 degrees.
so 1 and 4 are both at TDC same time, look with head off. see that.
so if you use hose sized to fint spark hole.
blow air with lips (lungs) in to both holes, the one that stops you
is #1 firing, the #4 blows easy is #4 on the exhaust stroke.
if #4 wont blow turn the crank 360 degrees CW clock wise
and #1 is now firing. and #1 wont blow.
easy no? and no cover off, and all sparks out, if not obvious.

I got a 91 ford my turn single won't but 4 way work I think it brake

there are 2 flasher units for these. one for the hazard flashers and one for the turn signal flasher. they look the same and in the same general area. turn on the 4 ways and look for the unit that is making the clicking noise then you will know what the signal unit looks like. look for the other unit this will be the one you want to change.

1994 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 5.2L OIL DIPSTICK ONLY GOES DOWN HALF WAY THEN STICKS. I pulled it to check the engine oil level and I know this sound crazy but it jambs in the tube halfway down. Anyone have

Push it in till it sticks, remove half way (so 1/4) of travel turn dipstick 180 degrees then push in if jambs again try 1/4 way out & turn 90 degrees. Sounds stupid but this normally works with vehicles haveing trouble getting dip stick in. Just don't force to much.

X type 2003 my key will not work when using the push buttons tried changing battery but nothing happens only way is manualy then I have to get in the car and turn engine on to disarm the alarm

1.)I would recommended that you ensure all key fobs are fitted with new batteries. ( Click here to see battery replacement guide).
2.)Get in the car and close the drivers side door.
3.)Put the key into the ignition and turn to position I.
4.)Wait 5 seconds
5.)Turn the key quickly to position II then back to I four times.
6.)You should hear a single chime.
7.)Remove the Key
8.)For each Keyfob in rapid succesion. Press any single button on the keyfob you wish to pair, you should hear a chime as each Keyfob is paired with the security system. After the chime do the next Keyfob.
9.)Check operation of each Keyfob.

Trying to locate engine number to determine 16 0r 32 cam

Unfortunately, your question is very vague and hard to understand.

16 or 32 cam?
Usually your engine will have twin cams, or single cam.
Overhead cam(s) or not. You could determine if your engine
is a 4 or a 6 cylinder, and then you will generally find out how
many valves the engine has.

If you are in a 4 cylinder car, you probably have 16 valves if you have a twin cam engine.
If you have a single cam, 4 cylinder engine, then you will usually have only 8 valves.

The only way that you could end up with 32 valves, is if you have a dual overhead cam, v-6 engine.
Each head will have two cams, and each cylinder will have 4 valves then.

I hope that this is what you were trying to ask. :)

I have a 84 351 windsor that runs way to hot i put

seems to me that you could have an air lock, try loosening the rad cap slightly and run car until fans kicks in, squeeze upper rad hose a few times to push any air out. Careful with hot hoses. see if this helps.

Brake and turn single drivers side don't work

Those trucks have a problem with the circuit board that the bulbs plug into. Unplug all the bulbs and see if one is burnt or melted. The fix is usually replacing the board.
