Try a new gas filter. If that doesn't help, have the fuel pressure tested. You should also have the computer scanned for any trouble codes.

While driving 91 olds cutlass supreme engine revs high but speed does not match, transmission fluid levels are normal

It's possible that the transmission modulator hose came off the valve or has a hole in it. Check the pass side of the trans for a hose hanging or other problems. If not there, check where it hooks to a vacuum source at the engine.

Hi I have a 1991 Olds Cutlass Supreme, with a 3.1 liter engine. My problem is when the car warms at stops it runs rough. Sometimes shuts off. Sometimes when crusing at speeds 30-50 the car sort of jerks...

My 3.4 liter 91 Cutlass Supreme has similar problem when warm the engine misses (car jerks). But its fine at idle and without any accelerator pressure. The SERVICE ENGINE light also comes on intermittantly. I am going to test the ignition coils.

To much gas to engine??

Most likley your engine has alot of miles on it....sounds like the piston rings are bad as well as the valve guides.
You probably need a replacement engine or a rebuild.
Too much oil is getting past the rings and getting burnt where it shouldnt.
Let me know how many miles you have and we can give you further details

High rpms in park, too low in drive

sounds like ecm sensor problems.does check engine light come on at all?you may be able to get a code reader at autozone to retrieve computer stored codes, this would more than likely lead you in the right direction.some shops will do a computer check cheap if you are unable to perform this task.however the code readers come with instructions and are user friendly;-)

Car starts fine, but stalls at stops and takeoffs occasionlly

Most likely it is running too ritch. should be around 7%. Mine did ecactly the same thing and I had several things done . Had the throttle body cleaned and installed a O2 senser.runs great now.

Hope this helps
