Fuel pump reset on a 2000 volkswagon bettle

there is nothing in the trunk that effects the fuel pump. it's under the back seat. check the fuse with an ohm meter first. if that is good you can remove the back seat ( only the bottom part ) and listen for a hum when you try to start the car, that would be the fuel pump. if you hear it then the problem is not the pump. replace the fuel filter. hope this helps.

Trying to figure out if fuel pump is bad on a 2000 volkswagon beetle

Check the fuel lines, are they corroded/perished/rusty. If so, they might be crusty inside which means clogged lines and check the fuel filter too, as that is a cheap option.

If you still aren't getting fuel or sporadic fuel to the engine, then a new pump will be needed. They are simple to change, but are the costly option.

200 Beetle 2litre Auto

An estimate for repair cannot be accurately made based upon this limited amount of information. The clunk could be caused by a number of different causes from bad fuel injectors, transmission in need of servicing to loose or broken engine mounts. Sorry, more information is necessary to render a qualified opinion. Correct year - 2000 ??, current mileage ??, vehicle history regarding accidents and/or maintenance, etc.

1999 Volkswagon beetle turbo diesel injection pump

Was any work just done to this car? Timing belt? It is rare that these pumps go bad but I have seen a few shell out. If you are not familiar with the ALH diesel engine I would not try to replace it. You should take it to a shop that specializes in VW's.

Trouble codes

The listing of codes that I have states that a P11xx code is related to fuel and air metering. I'd suspect from the past to check for vacuum leaks (broken, cracked or disconnected vacuum lines) or possibly the mass airflow sensor. You can get electrical contact cleaner from Radio Shack, unplug the electrical connector for the mass airflow sensor, and clean it to see if that helps.
