Sounds like you have a misaligned or bearing problem take the belt out of the way check all pulleys for end play and if they move side to side too its most likely you idler pulley .

I have a 2001 Mazda 626 4 cylinder I just get the water pump and the timing belt and it still stalls everytime I come to a stop

Have you checked you idle jet? That could be dirty, If it is put some fuel injector cleaner in your tank and that should cure the problem.

First of all your belt shouldn't be coming off at all period, it sounds like either you have the wrong size belt on your vehicle, or your Idler/ Belt Tensioner is going bad and not keeping your belt tight on the pulleys. I would first check to see if you have the right size belt for your vehicle and check to see if your Belt Tensioner is working properly and not frozen or seized.

I got a new serp. Belt put on now everytime I start my car it squels really bad...

you could have an automatic belt tensioner that is weak or the belt is slightly to long.there could be oil on a pulley that has been picked up by the belt causing the sqealing also.

The alternator belt is making noise i keep tightening it but it just gets loose again. Also everytime i put my foot on the brake the brake light on the dash lights up.

replace the belt with a good brand, not some cheap belt from the discount belt store. Did you check the brake fluid level? all brake lights operating?

How do u put the serpentine belt on a 1988 gmc safari van my dad and me keep putting it on and everytime we start it the belt comes off

If it comes off, check all the pulleys and the tensioner pulley, water pump ect. . why are you replacing it in the first place? if it just "came off" something is bad, belts just dont "come off"

Belt problem

If the belt has got oil soaked into it could be one reason why it is coming off. Check the belt tensioner. The spring may have become weak or the tensioner bearing is bad and the pulley is wobbling.

Serpentine belt keeps coming off

you probably need to chage the belt tensioner.

Alternator belt

While engine is running and its not raining check the belts while standing to the side of the engine to see if the pulley is alligned properly. If it is, then it must be replaced or tightened. If not, then a mechanic has tampered with the pulley system at one time and forgot to put a spacer back in.
