Question about Suzuki SX4

Open Question

I have a 2009 suzuki sx4 that is making a loud rumbling noise when I start driving. The noise stops between 30 and 40 mph. It started after driving through the muddy ruts and finally getting stuck in the mud (I live in VT and it is mud season here). The noise only happens when I am in drive, not in park, neutral or reverse. Thought it was caught by packed mud in tires brakes and under car so went through car wash twice but no change. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Front end noise

Sounds like rust build up on the rotors, this is a common problem with after market rotors,or it is a squealer tab and they squeal to warn you before damage is done to the rotors when brake pads are 2/3 worn down.have a brake inspection done.

SOURCE: tire light flashing on 2009 suzuki sx4

open your owners manual. if you havent already and see if there is a reset proceedure if so and light is still on go to a firestone or dealer and see if you may have a faulty tpms (tire pressure monitor system). or you may just need there tool to reset light. and yes it might cost you somthing to do it.

SOURCE: engine or transmission knock / rattle upon

I had the same problem on my 2006 Lucerne and it was the engine mount located on the front of the vehicle behind the radiator.

2010 suzuki sx4 makes clicking/popping noise when starting to drive or back up slowly and goes away once the car speeds up, any ideas?

Have someone check your cv joints out normally these are very seldom to wear the bearings due to the boot tearing and allowing dust and dirt to contaminating them. Hope this helped you.

How do I put my 09 Suzuki SX4 AWD in lock position ?

You have a switch down by the shifter, on the side. You simply toggle the switch to lock position. You don't what to do that on dry pavement. Just put the switch in auto. The computer will engage and disenage when needed. Don Suzuki guy
