For a new Body style 2004 ( not a Heritage or Lightning ) there is not an IAC.

The IAC functions are now part of the throttle by wire operation in the 2004-08 MY F-150s.
The Throttle Plate Position Controller is part opened by the PCM ( actually a chip embedded in the PCM specific to this function ) when the engine is at idle and the throttle is off ( i.e. not be pressed down ).

If you are talking about a 2004 Heritage or Lightning ( the same body style as the 99-03 MY ), the IAC is on the back of the throttle body, under the plastic throttle body cover.

I need to know were - sscullys_143.jpg

Not too sure which 2004 version you are talking about, just wanted to cover both 2004 options for the location on the IAC.

After replacing idle control valve, is it necessary for the computer to be reset or reprogrammed?

No , shouldn't have to do that if you follow factory service info. I don't know what make vehicle you have . Here is an example for a Chevy cavalier. Measure the distance between tip of IAC valve pintle and mounting flange.
If greater than 28 mm, use finger pressure to slowly retract the pintle. The force required to retract the pintle of a new valve will not cause damage to the valve.
Install the IAC valve attaching screws (1).
Tighten the IAC valve attaching screws to 3.0 N?·m (27 lb in).
Install the electrical connector. To reset the IAC valve pintle position:
Turn the ignition to the ON position leaving the engine OFF.

Turn the ignition OFF for ten seconds.

Start the engine and check for proper idle operation.

No electrical power goin to vaccum switchin valves on 4x4,97izuzu rodeo

which engine???? 2.6 or 3.2L , baring that, no exact answers.
we need to know which vavles there are many
VSV are used for many things.
EGR. even 3 valves on just this.
    even HVAC on some cars.
    fast idle VSV
    and others.
but you have a blown fuse.
most valves all have 12vdc keyon. and the PCM grounds them
to activate them on most cars.
best is to , point to it exactly and say this valve.
    with a photo.

some called the IAC valve a VSV, its not .
but the IAC is controlled too by the PCM. (ECU) 4 pins this.
the IAC is PWM , modulated, and you need scope to see that.

I need to know where it's located and how to take off and put on idle control switch

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery terminal...Locate the IAC valve on the side of the engine, near the intake...Remove the electric cable on the back of the IAC valve. Remove the screws that attach to the IAC valve and set them aside...
Pull the IAC out of the Cadillac DeVille and replace with new valve...Connect the IAC valve to the wire and reconnect the screws. Turn the screws so that they are completely tightened...Reconnect the negative cable to the battery and start engine to test valve.

Good luck, i hope this helps.

My 2000 ranger idles really low and sonetimes even dies. ihave to push gas pedal little bit to get it started

The Idle Air Control (IAC) is not working.... This is a very common problem and very easy to fix. The IAC will run you about $50 (USD) and the only tools needed is a 8mm socket. Disconnect the electrical connector, remove the 2 8mm hex screws, remove IAC. Reverse order to install.

It looks like the picture below

Whats will my car do if the idle air control valve goes bad

The engine will idle very rough or it will die at idle.

A simple way to test, try removing the IAC valve completely from the intake manifold, leaving an exposed opening to let air in the manifold. If the engine idles ok with the IAC removed, you'll know it's a problem related to the IAC. You will need further testing to determine if the problem is with the IAC valve itself or with its circuit.
