SOURCE: nocking when cold then goes away (Proton coupe )

Thermostat has nothing to do with the nocking, and neither does oil pressure switch. You said noise goes away when it warms up. So i don't suspect oil pressure problem. But i would be checking the crack in rocker cover, something put that crack in it and i suspect one of your rockers maybe loose enought and hit it and cracked it hense nocking noise. Its cracked, it needs to come off anyway then you can check rockers to see if one or more are loose, and if it hit the rocker cover and put a crack in it.

SOURCE: Air suspension inactive, HDC inactive, ABS light on, Range Rover

Air Suspension Inactive usually means there is a problem with the Air Suspension. However, it will also come up when alternator or battery voltage is low, or when you reset (disconnect and then connect) the battery. To reset it manually: while in P(ark), turn steering wheel all the way left, hold few seconds, and then all the way right, hold few seconds. All the warning lights will go out. Most common failure is the passenger front air strut, since batteries are prone to leaking acid, it leaks right on top of the rubber airbag and burns through it. Dealer willcharge you one hour to diagnose, or you can easily diagnose this by looking at the ride height of each particular corner of the truck. If its sits low, or emits hissing sound when you park the truck, its leaking. If you keep driving with leaky air strut, you risk burning up the air compressor, as its working extra hard to compensate for the leak. Replacing the strut is easy 45min job even for a novice mechanic, and you can do it yourself. Strut can be found new for approx $750 online. If you are fed up with air suspension issues, there is a $700 kit that converts the truck to springs, and disables all of the air suspension. Look up Arnott Industires

Wheels will not move when car is in gear

From the sound of it you have used a bunch of cowboys to do the work. If the gear shift is operating, the problem must be in the linkage.

If this mob can't find it, get the vehicle towed AT THEIR EXPENSE to a Land Rover specialist or failing that to a auto specialist.

Meanwhile, I'll check with my own specialists to find out if this problem has ever happened for them

2003 Range rover won't start

Very likely the fuel pump has failed, if you mean you tapped on the gas tank
and it finally started. When a pump fails, sometimes rapping on the tank will re-energize it briefly or maybe even a couple of times before it gives out for good.
If you were tapping on the gas pedal, though, and it just started, your mechanic will have to look at it. Too many electrical fault possibilities, Scott, it needs proper diagnosis to find the p[roblem.

2003 Range Rover HSE shut off while going down the road. The battery light came on about 30 miles before.

Your alternator has went out. The engine shut off because it drained the battery and had no power left to run it.

Proper oil leval but no oil pressure even after a complete flush out by a mechanic.

Either your oil pump, pump drive, pump coupler or pickup have failed, or you have a major bearing failure somewhere along the crankshaft.

Range rover air suspension stoped working

Range rovers are notorious for air susp issues, over the years I have had several issues. Unfortunately a lot of the time even the dealers fix these by accident. Range is a good site for a lot of issues, that can be checked without testbook. To start check the easy stuff. If the car is a 2003-on the compressor is under spare tire, height sensors can fail and can be checked with a voltmeter, check all air lines and valves. Good luck

Check the connections on the radio plugs behind and make sure the plugs are in properly.Put the radio on while it is out and move the wires around to see if there is a fault in the wires there , maybe they have rubbed through there and are causing a short circuit.
