If the injectors are not working i would replace them ... all that holds them in is a rubber oring.

1990 accord won't start, engine turns over and put in new spark plugs and wires. What else should I check/do?

Check for gas and spark to the engine. I'm thinking a '90 accord might be multi-point injection, although they transitioned about then from throttle body injection to multi-port injection. Either way, you need to check if the injectors are firing and putting gas into the engine. Does the fuel pump work? Is there pressure in the gas feed line?
Usually, a no start is because the engine has lost either fuel or spark. You need to check for both. Use a spark tester from parts store- a cheap and easy test for spark.

1.6L or 1.8L vastly different engines... and EFI.
fuel to the rail , only means the pump is active , never good.
28PSI is minimum on all cars. 1psi will never start a car. ever
and the rail will shoot fuel, all day. it fruitless , unless the rail is dead.
First the laws of EFI. (works all gas EFI)
  1. all fuses good.
  2. 12vdc to EFI system , below 10v is bad. (see lamps dim? bingo)
  3. The PCM (EFI brain) will never inject if it sees CMP/CKP or spark primary dead. ever. so, spark is first.
that is double reasons, fuel cant burn if no spark and if ECU
thinks spark is bad it cuts fuel, (fire safety and fuel hydralocking reasons)

so you connect any scan tool to the DLC, OBD2 port , by knees.
and crank for 5 seconds, release key, no turn off
see DTCs (errors) for CMP, or CKP sensors (cam/crank?)
no, then you crank and look at the RPM PID , live data stream the scan tool, see RPM go to 250rpm cranking, good.
ok , PCM thinks all is good....

i then check the #1 injector with a NOID lamp
i crank it flashes, good.
if not , i do all injectors , if one fails the pcm is dead on this line.
if yes, all dont flash the PCM is seeing some gross errors. ask. why./?
if all flash, then the fuel rail is dead. and your rail test was useless.

until you discloses engine option (size) I cant give spec numbers.
i then connect my fuel pressure gauge $20 tool to the fuel rail test
port, and i get 10psi, FAIL
i check voltage to the fuel pump cranking, i get 8v, bingo bad wiring
or bad fuel pump relay.
say 10psi and 12v at pump cranking,
the pump is bad, or the filter clogged , or the fuel pressure regulator
is stuck wide open killing all legit pressure.

that is how i do it.
keep in mind the PCM cant see fuel pressure on most cars.
some newer cars have this sensors. (nice)
low fuel pressure,. renders the whole EFI , useless. just junk.

Well i know nothing about layout of this american vehicle but for its age check the fuel rail as on the end is a vacumn controlled valve so make sure its connected and the vacumn pipe isnt cracked or perished ,Anything else i have no idea sorry dont see these motors here in spain very often unless its on a imported camper van but these are normally all diesel ,have seen a 7.2 litre ford E350 petrol though but running on a gas conversion

Nissan altima wont start only spinns engine wont catch and start.

Does it has enough fuel? If it does, then you should check if there is fuel going into the fuel injectors rail (grab an empty coke bottle, disconnect fuel hose put it inside the bottle, tell someone to put the ignitios switch to on, then gas should come out from the hose abundantly) if it does, then reconnect the hose to the injectors rail. Now check for the distributor and in the center of the distributor cap there is a cable that comes from the coil, disconnect it and put it on the chassis or in a propper ground (You can use a metal bolt in the intake manifold or in the engine head), be careful not to touch the cable with your hand, you can hold it with everything non conductive, and tell a friend to start the car (ignition) you should see on the tip of the cable that sparks are jumping from the coil cable to the chassis (they must be really close like almost touching) if there is no spark jumping then your coil or your distributor or your distributor cap or your rotor isn't working. There is a spark regulator too that can be messed up. Anyway it's an easy fix. hope that helps.

Locating and changing the fuel filter.

you can pull fuel injector fuses and remove the gas cap but try to start it a few times so it relieves the pressure that was there...if it does not work on some honda i put a rag underneath the fuel rail and open the large bango nut that connects the line to the fuel rail just crack it 3/4 turn till it leaks a little and let it squirt out the pressure just wear eye protection its pretty easy fuel filter to do..

Wont start

The problem is likely in the injection module which is located in the dash right behind the flip down tray to the right of the flip down fuse door the the left of the steering wheal. To test simply rapidly slap the fuse/vanity flip down door area while starting the car and it will start.I have had 5 preludes and all have the same problem a replacement is 150 or you can sotter all the connections on the board inside the fuel injection module. This will fix the problem as the original connections develop miniscule cracksAll preludes have this problem in really hot or cold weather
