There should be some screws to remove the outside cover of the gear shift. Then the shift indicator P,R, N, D, etc should snap off. Then there is the light bulb housing underneath that indicator. ---------- The detailed procedure is as follows:--- Remove everything from the center console, remove the plastic door at the bottom inside the center console. This will reveal a few phillips head screws, remove them. Gently pry the plastic cover under the radio by the lighter socket, and remove the two screws at the top, underneath the panel. There is also one screw on each side of the center console near the sides of the seats that need to be pulled. Open and pull the cup holder up and out, remove the visible screws. The center console should now slide back and out, exposing the two wires that lead into the drivers side of the shifter. Twist the socket and remove and replace the bulb... Reverse the procedure for re-assembly. -------------- You will need to remove the center console.Click this link directly to get instruction and diagram to remove center console:---- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-to-replace-gear-shift-light-bulb-on.html ---------------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Which fuse to change for steering wheel lights and gear shifter lights 2010 ford edge

It's not a fuse , the SJB - smart junction box controls these lights ! This is fords body control module . If the Heater / A/C control panel ,hazard switch ,headlamp switch , message center switch all work, it is not a fuse . The gear shifter I would say the bulb is burnt out . The steering wheel lights could be out because of an open in the clock spring . The clock spring is a device inside the steering column under the steering wheel that keeps your horn , cruise control , radio buttons etc... connected electrically . How cars clock spring works

How to replace the shifter light in the console.

Pry up trim around shifter. Use something plastic, push underneath in different places, while lifting up.

Down under shift mech, there are two very small bulbs, you need to replace,if burnt out.

The front and passenger marker lights do not light up. We attempted to change the bulbs.......they still do not light up. The front bulb, as you know, performs double duty as the turn signal blinker, which...

If this is an E class

Shifter console is most likely a burnt out bulb, issue with that is you have to pull the cnter console to get to it.

The marker light if it doesnt work there is a light relay,/bulb out indicator relay (longest one in there) under the screwed down cover behind the fuses.

If it is an SE hop on over to benzworld.org for more sppecific help.

Light behind "Fan Speed" Dial burnt out?

It can be replaced with just bulbs. They are a pain in the **** to get ordered correctly but the are serviceable. Also, you can change the shifter light bulbs as well, just turn the bulb 30 degrees or so and pull out gently.

Used toyota corolla 96' gear shifter light

There is a bulb under the shifter. It is probably burned out.

You need to purchase a number 194 bulb at an auto parts store. Next, you need to remove the entire center console to gain access to the socket that holds the bulb. This is fairly easy. After the console is removed, look under the shifter assembly to locate the socket.

A FixYa rating (4 blue diamonds) would be greatly appreciated for my assistance.

Please respond if you have any further questions.
