If is not electrical has to do with the flow of gas into the injectors try putting some injector cleaner fluid in the gas or gas treatment see how that goes first or it can be your throttle position sensor is bad

Why does my car shut down while driving?

There might be a problem with the alternator, specifically the diode trio that is inside the alternator. Have your charging system checked. You can do it yourself if you have a voltmeter. Start car and check voltage across the battery terminals. You should get 14.5 volts or higher.

How do i fix a something draining my battery problem?

Clearly, the battery is either dead or the power from it is not reaching the starter circuit. The battery is used only to start the engine and the alternator provides power for the car once started. Since the car shuts off when the booster cables are removed - I'd make sure all the connections at the alternator are made up tight. I'd also have a check on the fuses for the alternator's output. A voltmeter on the battery should provide 12 - 12.5 Volts when the car is off and 13.5 to 15 Volts with the car running. I suspect you only see those voltages when booster cables are connected.

Check the connections from the battery. Loose battery terminal, corroded wires, loose from other end of wires. Simply trace it back, more that likely loose on starter end

1985 nissan 300z wont crank

When you switch the ignition wont start or crank, right? but did you hear a tikiting sound? if you do then the problem was your starter, either the solenoid in your starter was faulty or the starter itself might be grounder or shorted.Replace the solenoid if deffective or starter but before you do that check your battery.
Next is to check your electrical line from the ignition to the starter and also from your battery going to the starter, if there is a connectivity it means your line is good.
Next you said it has to be push to start and run but when you shut it off it wont start? It means your alternator was not charging properly, so it was deffective, the battery lost its power. replace or repair your alternator.
Hope this will help you, good luck!!!

Tried starting car after work and it would not start got a jump and it strted right up but all the lights and radio were flickering on and off during the drive home. I get home and try to start it again...

It cold still be the battery if you didn't let it run at least 15 minutes between starts. The problem you get with a battery low on fluids is a dead cell situation which will give you these symptoms. Now, the problem itself actually sounds like you have a bad voltage regulator which is shorting. You can have the Alternator and voltage regulator tested, the two are built together in your model so it's a one stop test. Make sure all your battery cables are good and tight and clean, if they are corroded it will do this and it will do it if it is loose. Make sure you actually physically check the cable because if the corrosion got under the protective cover it could have caused the wires to basically break in the cable. (Doesn't happen often but it can) If the alternator checks test the battery, they can test both at Auto Zone, Advance Auto or Pep Boys so you get the part you need.

96 pontiac battery drains itself

Sounds like it IS the alternator. Batteries sometimes have a bit of a life of their own after sitting for awhile and will start a car. Once running, it will continue until the battery charge dies completely...especially when not using radio, A/C, lights etc... Also, it could be an alternator belt, (or surpentine belt) too lose on the alternator. Finally, check the battery for water level. If it is the type that requires water, sometimes people forget to fill it when sold.

Corolla shuts off during left hand turns and hard stops

Wow. These are tough to find unless you are willing to roll the car up on it's right side and then check the power to the system. ..
Look for loose connections going through things that might move or the wires connected to the starter (sometimes the power wire is connected to the battery line at the starter solenoid).
Could also be at the ignition switch.

Remove the starter & inspect the contacts inside the starter solenoid housing. If they are burnt and/or worn, you will get this condition. Replace the contacts and the plunger, or replace the starter. I change contacts in my shop 3-4 times a week. Quite a common failure. The clicking noise is the plunger hitting one contact, but not the other, due to wear.
