First off do you have factory lights or the aftermaket high intensity bulbs. if you do get rid of them and replace them and your multifunction switch (headlight signal light high beam wiper switch)

same thing happend to me... I replaced my headlight switch in the dash..it was kinda melted in the back headlights work but have not had headlights on for long periods of time as I dont think it solved the problem just gonna happen again...so which headlights are you reccomending I should get? and should I still change my high beam wiper switch?...should this solve my problem?

What wattage are the bulbs you have in nnow Should say on them Just buy the standard bulbs and stay away from the high intensity bulbs(eg blue bulbs 80/100 watt bulbs) they take too much amperage and heat up melting wiring stick with 55/80 i believe is the standard wattage if the lights work switch might be still ok if not then ya you will have to replace

Replace the headlight switch. It has an internal relay, and yours is failing. Trust me.

Headlights shut off while driving at night

Electrical fault, either the wires are grounding out somewhere along the line or there's a bad connection at the headlight. Check behind your headlight where the harness connects to the bulb. There is likely a bad connection there, if you pull the games off you'll likely see some blackened spot on one of the connections. An easy fix is some aluminum around the spade connector of the bulb to insure a complete connection. Recommend you take the car to have the harness and or bulbs replaced though as the aluminum can be a very temporary fix.

After turning Right using blinker my high beams come on by themselves

It is one of two things:
1. The turn indicator switch is bad if it is a combo switch that has the dimmer in it for the headlights
2. The clock spring in the steering column.

2002 Saturn, cannot turn off headlights unless I turn off the car. Headlights come on by themselves in the middle of the night and drain the battery. When I try to use the turn signals the bright lights...

It sounds like you have a short within your Headlight Switch.....It's kind of difficult to replace, because you have to disable the airbag system....But just take it to a shop an um quit sure they can do it with no problem......You can also try the relay first because its cheaper...But your problem may be your switch itself...Goodluck

Sounds like your switch is bad (i.e. turn signal / healight dimmer / winshield lever switch) inside the steering column. Replace as necessary.

Jetta headlights not working

Ignition switch will cause you to loose your head lights and turn signals. You will still be able to start the car and hold the switch for your brights but normal function is gone. Check it out it usually only runs about $20-$30 for replacement part but you need a special puller to get to it.

95 mustang gt headlight problem

Its your headlight switch... I have the same problem with my mustang.... After time goes on it wears on the copper connectors on the headlight switch and they will either get loose or they will bend and at times losing connections... I picked up the headlight switch from Auto Zone for $16.99... AND I believe that the sound you're hearing isn't coming form your engine but its coming from the headlight switch... Dont quote me on it but I am sure thats where its coming from... Due losing and gaining connection...
