You are looking at about 1500.00 for a used one with low mileage from a wrecker.

Try (repairpal.com) for estimate for your particular area. You may have to enter Grand Caravan to get the 3.8L engine .
I'm thinking 2 hrs.

My dodge caravan 2001 is giving heating troubles. Will blow some hot air and then after some time, starts blowing cold air.

Ya I would almost guarantee you that the radiator is shot.
You will need a new one.
Cost 800.00 to 1100.00 to get a mechanic to install.
You can buy one your self for about 300.00.
Do it yourself.
to test if that's the problem try this.
Fill the radiator all the way to the top with coolant
Run the van till its warm check hoses to feel for heat.
If its all hot and good..then id say you got awhile before you will need a radiator.
What will happen next is your van will start to over heat when you least expect it to.
Good luck

2001 ford focus needs new engine..how much would it cost??????

It is according to where you get it worked on, weather you would want a rebuilt, new or used engine and weather your "core" (bad engine) is acceptable if needed. Most garages have shop rates from $25 to $50 per hour. I can give you a rough estimate for that type of average shop bills for similar repairs. I would say a good used eng. should run $700 to $1000 (check the junk yards near you). The garages should take probably between 12 and 18 hours to do the work (I haven't checked the book time on that model). IThey will surely need most all fluids, misc seals and gaskets. Adding $150 to $200. I would expect a shop bill of around $800 to mabe $1000 in addition to the cost of the engine.

Engine sounds like a Mac Truck on my 2001 Dodge dakota 4.7

engine can be overhauled but will take about 2 weeks. avg cost is appx 2500.00 but still a lot cheaper than long block replacement.probably not hurt to get a couple of estimates to rebuild rather than replace.

Check Engine Light Code P0601

To replace it need's to be reprogrammed with the crankshaft position sensor variation relearn procedure, and anti-theft system if equipped, with special equipment, which is usually done at a dealership service department.
