ok rpt stands for repeat. when it says that it is the wrong code that you are putting in. you only get three trys on this. after the third time it will say off. you must wait 2 hrs with the stereo on until you can try putting a code in. you need to find the right code for that stereo.inside your manual book there should be a credit card size card that has a four digit code on it. that is your stereo code. put that in and your stereo should be up in running. good luck
Did you happen to disconnect the battery for some reason? If so, all you should need to do is call the Chevy Dealer and talk to the parts department. Explain to them that you need the code to unlock your radio. They will probably ask you for the VIN number. This is what happened to me when I put the stock radio back into my Saturn. The dealer gave me the number and it worked. I hope this helps you!
try to disconnect the battery again, the negative post for about 30 second and put the post back on and input the code again. if you don't have correct code, take you registration up to the Mits dealer and they can get you the correct code using the vin number.
Call your local GM Oldsmobile dealer and ask for the crevice department. Have your car VIN number ready at hand They shut be able to tell your code by you VIN number. How ever some times they wan to make money and they will tell you Than you going to have to bring your car over so they can charge you just for that. if you don't wan to pay just call referent dealer or call referent time. Good luck.
you need to unlock the radio by putting in the code, if you aren't the person who put the code in the radio to begin with you can't unlock it yourself. If you are the person the car is registered to, you can take it to a dealer and have it unlocked. you may be able to call a dealer parts department and get some help, but you have to prove it's your car....a trip to the dealer will cost you some time and money, but if the radio works good, it's cheaper than buying an aftermarket radio to replace it.
