There can some draining of battery when the car is idling . this can be due to many reasons and the tracing of such a leak in the electrical system must be done.
You will need a good ammeter/ multimeter to check the drain current, isolate the circuit and check. Possible to check the car audio/video systems, the remote lock or the clock circuit.

2010 G37 - battery was dead - jumped it off and drove it for twenty minutes. Next morning it wouldn't start and now it wont stop clicking (like a relay). Any suggestions?

if the battery goes dead or low it must be recharged with a charger, driving the car will not recharge it properly. The alternator is only meant to maintain the battery, not recharge it. Get the battery recharged and verified and then try again.

The first time I start my 96 2500 diesel every morning it starts great but then in about 5 seconds it starts to starve for fuel and I have to hold the accelerator down or it will go dead. After the first...

It sounds like the sendary or low volume pump is not working when cold ! Its also possible that the primary pump is doing the same thing ! There are updates on parts to move or consolidate both pumps ! Basically when you first start your truck your running on the fuel thats already in the fuel housing and then it runs out or low due to insuffecient supply !

Sumthing keeps bringing my battery down.the altinator is good but my brand new battery is dead now.whats wrong

Most likely the diode from the alternator is leaks draining the battery2_bing.gif. If you believe your battery is good then recharge it to full level then do the followings: 1- Disconnect negative cable from the battery over night to see how weak it is in the next morning. If it is bad then it is the battery no other thing. 2- If it is good, take off wires from the alternator for a night, next day battery is still good then there is a problem with the alternator diode. Hope this can help.

Take the SUV to an autoparts store that features free charging diagnostic tests. They will determine if the alternator is putting out sufficient power to recharge your battery. There's also a very good chance your battery is dead. It's not uncommon for a battery to need replacing (especially in a truck with all the bells and whistles I'm sure the Santa Fe has) after 4-5 years. It's also important to ensure there's no corrosion around the battery posts/cables (will have a white or green powdery appearance). Corrosion would prevent the battery from accepting a full charge.

I hope this clarifies your problem. It's unlikely the alarm system is the culprit provided it's not "going off" all day long. Best of luck and please feel free to post back with any other questions.
