Question about 1995 Chevrolet Caprice
To change the fuel pump first research where it is located, in the tank or near the tank. in my 95 chevy carpice intercepter(police car) it is inside the tank. in some cars there is a access pantle in the trunk, making it very easy to install a new one, in my car i need to drop the gas tank. disconnevting the fuel lines and the 2 brackets that hold it in place. when doing this place a jack about 1/2 inch under the tank to catch it when it drops. after you remove the tank(thats the hardest part) break the seal where the fuel pump is and remove the old one, first disconnecting the wires. one is positive and the other is the ground. then install the new fuel pump. usually there are directions in the box on how to install the new one. then put the tank back in place and your good to go. i just got done doing this on my car about a week ago. it took me about 3 hours with smoke breaks to do.
